If you would like to be part of the band this year, return this form to your classroom teacher or the band director, Miss Shupe. We will contact you soon with all of the information and how you can choose your very own instrument. Mark your calendars for a Beginning Band Boot Camp held on Saturday, August 15th from 8am-1:00pm.
Parents: Please sign this form giving your permission for your student to be part of the band! I have attached the rental flyer to get an idea of instrument rental costs as well as information regarding our Beginning Band Boot Camp on Aug 15th.If you have any questions, please contact me .
Once I have received the permission forms, I will be in contact regarding instrument selection events. Based on which instrument your student likes best, and the instrument on which I think they will be most successful, we can help your child choose an instrument.

Dear Parents,
I am pleased to inform you that the District will be hosting a free Beginning Band Boot Camp on Saturday, August 15thfrom 9:00am-1:00pm at West Park Elementary located at 2700 S 257th Ave, Buckeye, AZ 85326. An instrument rental and materials purchasing event will be held at 8:00am-9:00am just prior to the start of the Boot Camp to allow parents and students another opportunity to procure needed materials for your child’s ultimate success in the beginning stages of learning how to play an instrument.
All of the band directors across the district will be working and teaming together to provide your children with the best start to their musical journey. The students will have an opportunity to learn with other students who are playing their same instrument as well as with the larger group. We will be breaking for lunch so we ask to either be prepared to bring a sack lunch, or bring $5 for a provided lunch on that day. And, as always, bring bottled water to keep hydrated!
We are passionate about your child’s success and look forward to seeing the BESD beginning band students at West Park Elementary on Saturday, August 15th at 9:00am.
