Summer Internship Placements
STARBASE: This school-year enrichment program engages grade 5 students in inquiry-based science, technology, engineering, and math through the study of Newton’s Laws, nanotechnology, navigation and mapping, and using computers to design space stations, all-terrain vehicles, and submersibles. This program takes place on the Hanscom Air Force Base May 15 – June 9. (visit for information about the program)
FootBridge: This summer program is for rising 4th and 5th grade students from Brockton and allows them to learn science and engineering concepts in hands-on and engaging ways. Students also participate in extracurricular activities on and off campus. This program takes place on the BSU campus July 10 – 21, with approximately 1 ½ weeks of curriculum training prior to the program and several days of team building and safety training in May.
