Dear Parents
Once again Summer is nearly with us and it’s time to start thinking about booking the Summer holiday club. This year our Summer programme will run between Monday 24th July – Monday 4th September 2017.
We’ve recognised through previous holiday clubs and feedback from the children that they enjoy doing a wide range of activities where some activities are more popular than others. During the Summer we shall be planning our activities using 5 main themes which will enable us to organise activities that are very popular more often rather than having a theme a day. The 5 main themes will be:
Sensory Kidz – Activities will be based around exploring our senses.
Creative Kidz – Activities will be available to give us lots of opportunities to use our imagination.
Discovery Kidz – Through are Group Trips and Playday we shall have lots of opportunities to explore exciting places and activities
Investigation Kidz – Activities will enable us to investigate deeper with exploring science and nature
World Kidz – A chance to explore the elements
By booking early you can take advantage of our early booking price, to you this means a saving of 5% (based on child 1 prices). All you need to do to benefit from the early booking price is either make a FULL Payment or advise us of a payment plan at checkout, early bookings close on Friday 30th June 2017.
This year’s Summer Programme has been organised in consultation with the children from previous holiday clubs and I’m delighted to offer some new and exciting venues and activities. We have regularly been visiting Longridge and are delighted to be able to offer activities at the two other sites that form the ALF Charity (Adventure Learning Foundation), Shortenills offering all ages the opportunity to experience environmental activities along with Green Park that will continue to offer our over 8’s experiences of new and exciting experiences.
Through the summer holidays we have a wide selection of optional trips planned that will include optional trips for all ages to Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Jungle Parc, Hever Castle, Shortenills, Dogs Trust Harefield**, 4 Kingdoms Adventure and Farm Park, Riverhill, Bucklers Hard, Hollycombe, Bournemouth Oceanarium & Big Wheel and Tulleys Farm, we shall also be offering specific optional trips for over 8’s at Longridge for instructed activities that will include Canoeing, Climbing Wall, Giant Orbs, Kayaking, Crate Stacking and Leap of Faith and at Green Park each visit will have two instructed activities that will include Archery and Night Line, Mountain Biking and Zip Wire, Climbing Wall and Accessible Low Ropes Course for prices of optional trips please see programme, transport for optional trips will be by mini-bus.
**This summer due to popularity we are offer two dates for Dogs Trust where the charge made for this trip is given as a 100% donation to the Dogs Trust.
We also have group trips planned that will include Lydiard Country Park, Royal Victoria Country Park & Beach, Stanwick Lakes, Lepe Country Park & Beach, Littlehampton and Brooklands Museum, transport for these group trips will be by Stewarts Coaches (www.stewartscoaches.com) these group trips are charged slightly higher than the normal daily rate due to the additional expense of travel, staffing and entrance if applicable. We shall also be offering lots of fun themed activities which will include Wet n’ Wild Fun (weather pending) every Friday that will include a BBQ lunch so a change of clothes along with a towel would be recommended. Also on a Friday we have either a visiting workshop or activity (please see programme).
Frontier Centre Residential – Both this year and our 2018 residentials are now full. We are now taking bookings for August 2019. The residential is open to all children age 8yrs and over and will be from Monday 12th – Friday 16th August 2019 at Rock UK Frontier Centre, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire. During the week the children will be participating in activities that will include instructed activities along with a visit to theme park. As part of our Summer 2017 Holiday Club, all children attending the holiday club that have not previously received a FREE T-shirt will receive a Kidz Enterprise T-Shirt that MUST (for safety) be worn during all trips to identify us as a group, additional T-shirts may be purchased at an additional charge of £8.00. Please note should your child arrive at the club on a morning of a trip without their T-shirt, you will be expected to purchase another one.
We also have a selection of CAPS priced at £6.00 each; ZIPPED HOODIES priced at £16.50 each and are taking orders for our WINTER RAIN COATS priced at £19.90.
