There were considerable special needs in this Year 11 cohort. The results obtained were in line with predicted grades and above those expected on entry to the school.

As always English is a challenge to our pupils and with the new end-of-course more rigorous GCSE’s this will also prove a challenge to SEN pupils. It is very difficult for them to achieve a grade C equivalent (4)

Therange and variety of different courses we have introduced to match the needs of the pupils is working well and enabling pupils to work to a level and syllabus suitable to their needs which gives them the best chance to continue on to further education. With additional courses added this year to the 6th Form curriculum we continue to adapt each year to the needs of the rising cohort allowing pupils to proceed to college and then to University where suitable, with confidence.
