SUMMER 2015 – Important deadlines/dates
May 27 – First day of classes
May 26 – Online add/drops/swaps ends
May 22 – Last day for regular registration
May 23 - June 5 – Late registration and last day to add/swap (not online)
May 25 – Memorial Day
June 5 – Census Day - Last day to drop a class without a W
June 10 – Graduation Application due (summer graduation)
October 1 – Commencement RSVP Update deadline (if graduating in the summer and participating in the fall 2015 commencement ceremony)
July 4 – Independence Day
July 13 – Drop/Withdrawal Deadline
August 6 – Last day of classes
August 7 - August 8 – Final Exams
August 13 – Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
August 15 – Degree Conferral date

DOCTORAL EXAMS
July 13 - Last date exams may be requested to start during the summer, as this is about 20 working days until the last day of classes, August 6. Twenty working days is the maximum time allowed to complete the written and oral exams.

Please Note:
The doctoral exams are conducted only when classes are in session. To schedule exams, students must submit to Christine Messick, , (for forwarding to the A&H office) at least a week prior to the exams: the request form and final bibliographies, along with an email from the committee chair (provided that previous paperwork has been completed - committee form and initial bibliographies).

DISSERTATION PROPOSALS – Deadline for Summer, 2015
May 20 – due in A&H Office for GSC consideration on June 3

Please Note:
Dissertation Proposals should be submitted to your individual committee members for their approval at least one week before the submission deadline.

Submit to Christine Messick, (for forwarding to the A&H office) in hard copy:
-The dissertation proposal, including title page with signatures of proposed committee
-The separate form, Request for Appointment of a Doctoral Dissertation Committee
In addition, submit to Christine Messick (also for forwarding) by email as an attachment in Word-compatible format:
-The dissertation proposal including title page without signatures
