Scope 1 / The Outline addresses 50 – 400Hz Assemblies and DC assemblies.
400Hz is used in the airline Industry and is also addressed in UL 498 Attachment Plugs and Receptacles. The scope provides guidance on when to evaluate a Multioutlet Assembly with GFCI’s under the Standard For Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters, UL 943 or under UL 111. The scope also clarifies that cord and plug connected products are not covered by the Outline.
Glossary / Other than the standard terminology used within the Outline the glossary introduces new terminology specific to defining the type of Multioutlet Assembly as it relates to factory and field wiring. The purpose is to make it readily identifiable to the inspection authority what was provided as part of the factory assembly and what was added in the field.
