SUMMARY OF POINTS DEDUCTIONS FOR CONTRAVENTION OF MATCH RULES AND PLAYING CONDITIONS

(ALL CLUBS MUST ENSURE THAT THIS LIST IS IN THE HANDS OF CLUB PLAY-CRICKET ADMINISTRATORS)

All Divisions Generic Rules

4ii.Player ages on teamsheets – 5 points

5c.1st XI matches only - No scorer – 1 point

5d.1st XI matches only – Failure to submit an umpires report sheet on time – 1 point

8cAny club failing to fulfill a League fixture will have the following penalties applied:-

i.For the first and second offences - 5 points deducted from the conceding team only.

ii.For the third offence – 5 points deducted from all teams of the conceding club and a £50 fine.

iii.For the fourth offence – 5 points deducted from all teams of the conceding club, a £100 fine, the team is removed from the division and its record expunged.

This penalty does not apply to or affect the 1st Xl of any club which plays in the 1st Xl Premier Division.

6a.Use of non-League ball – 5 points

16a.All XIs except 1st XI – Playing a player in a side without League permission who has played 9 or more games in a higher XI that season – 20 points

1st XI Premier Division – Time Based Format Rules

1a.Variation of start time – 3 points

3cSlow over rate penalties will apply for sides bowling less than 17 overs per hour. For example: 16 overs per hour - 1 point penalty, 15 overs per hour - 2 points penalty etc.

Play-Cricket and Match Reporting

Notification and checking of results

a.Each home team must enter an accurate summary result and scores on play-cricket (including details of all times and lengths of rain stoppages and, in limited overs games, changes to targets and any over reductions):-

1st XI matches – by 8.30pm on the day of the match.

All other matches – by 12.00pm on the Sunday following the match.

Failure to do so will result in a one point penalty.

b.Any team not entering full match details including names of all players on play-cricket by 12 noon on the Friday following the match (12 noon on the Monday following the match for all 1st XI matches) will have five points deducted.

c.Any team not ticking the box in the play-cricket results summary, which confirms the scorecard has been checked, by 12 noon on the Friday following the match (12 noon on the Monday following the match for all 1st XI matches) will have one point deducted. (See below)

No scorecard – 5 points. (bothHome & Away Side) The Home side is expected to enter the result and Scorecards of both sides.

There is a tick box for the Home and Away side to tick once they have checked both the Result and Scorecards. Two ticks showing by the clubs when the League Play-Cricket Admin checks results will mean that his check will mean that three people have checked and agree the Result and Scorecards.
