Jr. FFA Membership Requirements

For your student to participate in the Sulphur Springs Jr. FFA, the following must be met:

  • Complete enclosed student application
  • Pay $20.00 membership fee
  • Attend validation for your respective animal and pay NETLA entries
  • Sell a minimum of 10 items from the fruit and meat fundraiser

As FFA advisors, checking projects weweigh animals, administerwormer grooming supplies or medication as needed. Assist in locating many show animals, and prepare the animals for show. The funds for supply purchases come from fruit and meat sales; we require all students to participate in the fundraiser. Please see the advisor for brochures; the sale runs from September 19th–October 15th.

  • Complete Quality Counts test for NETLA certification. This is found at:

This program certifies students for participation in the livestock show; the student should read the recommended pages concerning showmanship & character then take a 10 question test. The student may retake the quiz until they pass, and are only required to take it once. If your student was certified last year, they do not need to test again; this is only for new students.
