Subordinate Legislation (Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006

1.Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 1996[1] for the period specified in regulation 3.

2.Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.

3.Extension of operation

The operation of the Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 1996 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 15 July 2007.

The Subordinate Legislation (Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006, S.R.No.56/2006 were made on 25 May 2006 by the Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Environment, under sections 5 and 28 of theSubordinate Legislation Act 1994, No.104/1994 and came into operation on 25 May 2006.

The Subordinate Legislation (Environment Protection (Scheduled Premises and Exemptions) Regulations 1996 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2006 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 25 May 2016 (seesection 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
