Classification review announced for 12 computer games
The Classification Review Board has received applications to review the computer games Killer is Dead, Alien Rage, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, Deadly Premonition the Director’s Cut, Company of Heroes 2, God Mode, Borderlands 2: Add-on Content Pack, Fuse, Deadpool, The Walking Dead, Gears of War: Judgment, and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.
The applications were made after the South Australian Attorney General requested the reviews be undertaken. The Classification Board classified each of these games MA 15+ (Mature Accompanied).
The Classification Review Board will meet on 18, 19 November and 2, 4 and 5 December 2013 to consider the applications. The dates on which each game will be reviewed are currently being settled with the applicants who originally applied for the classification of the games. The Review Board’s decisions and reasons for those decisions will be published on the classification website (www.classification.gov.au) when the reviews of the games have been completed
If an individual or organisation wishes to make a submission to the Review Board as an interested party to these reviews, please write to the Convenor of the Review Board. The names of interested parties will be disclosed in the Review Board’s final decision report, unless requested otherwise. The closing date to lodge your submissions is COB Thursday 14 November 2013. Please note that the Review Board can only consider submissions about the decisions of the games listed above and not any other matters relating to classification policy or issues generally.

The Classification Review Board is an independent merits review body. It makes a fresh classification decision upon receipt of an application for review. The Classification Review Board decision takes the place of the original decision made by the Classification Board.
