h.Archeological sources- They are direct evidences. Theycannot be changed by human beings. They are of four types. 1.Inscriptions- Written records engraved on cave walls, metal pillars, and walls of temples, copper and clay tablets and rocks.

2.Coins- They tell us about the reigning period of kings ,the economy of the kingdom, the extent of kings empire and about trade with other regions.

I .History is the study of the past.It is generally divided into three periods.

1. Prehistory –The period when writing had not been invented.

2. Proto history-The period when we have very less written records.

3. History- the time period after the invention of writing is known as history.
