PEIMS Data Standards 2000-2001
All changes to the Data Standards are detailed in the file named datastd1.doc that you will find as one of the choices following PEIMS Data Standards 2000-2001. Changes are marked by vertical margin lines. The changes for 2000-2001 were all subjected to a rigorous review by the Policy Committee on Public Education Information. The significant changes are listed below.
· The 022, 024, and 160 records were deleted.
· The 461 record was added. It is the Title I, Part A student record.
· MIGRANT-INDICATOR-CODE and CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT were added to the 101 record.
· PRIMARY-DISABILITY-CODE and MULTIPLY-DISABLED-INDICATOR-CODE were added to the 400 record.
· Three new codes were added to the LEAVER-REASON-CODE table.
· Codes for non-Special Education Locally Developed Courses have been added to the SERVICE-ID table.
· Three codes were added to the INSTRUCTIONAL-SETTING-CODE table.
As a reminder: the PEIMS Editor and Reports+ systems are scheduled to be replaced by the PEIMS EDIT+ system in August, 2000, effective with Submission 4 for the 1999-2000 school year. The PEIMS EDIT+ system is a WEB based application that will be accessed through an Internet browser. We are working with the ESCs to ensure a smooth implementation of the new system.
