The team at the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) are hosting their second-annual Victorian Tourism Conference on July 20 and 21 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The first one in Geelong last year attracted around 250 members of the Victorian tourism and events industry and VTIC are expecting a 300 delegates in 2015.
I believe that attending this conference will enable me to discover valuable new ways to approach in our work, share my lessons learnt with our team, and connect with industry leaders and decision makers and other tourism operators from across Victoria.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the event:
* Two days of plenary and workshops, exploring topics such as the power of storytelling, the future of travel, creating and sustaining great events, emergency preparedness, what’s next for China and visitability. PLUS updates from Tourism Victoria and Tourism Australia.
* Over 40 presentations from experts and industry leaders, including The Hon John Eren MP, Mark Pesce, Shawn Callahan, R J Friedlander, Felicia Mariani, Simon McGrath, Sir Rod Eddington, Stefan Pernar, Steven Wright, Andrew Burnes, Rachel Argaman, , Karen Halbert, Richard Beere, Clare Gleghorn, Geoff Manchester and Dr J Patrick Greene.
* A Networking Reception and Conference Dinner on Monday evening nearby at the Showtime Events Centre.
