Principal’s Report / Information provided regarding staffing. An additional teacher was assigned to MCL due to an increase in numbers. Classes will need to be re-organized leaving an opening in Gr. 1 & 2. Welcome to Mrs. Sylvia Chenier (0.7) and her teaching partner Rachel Strojny (0.3) who will be teaching in Gr. 2 & 3. Mme Cotton will be our FSL teacher – congratulations to Mme LaFramboise who is in a VP position now at Holy Cross School.
Chrome Books, Tech Tubs and Apple TVs ordered have been received at the Board office – we are just waiting for cataloguing. /
Council Calendar / * Reviewed activities and suggested priorities for the coming year. Set date for Family Christmas Event December 8th.
* January 28 Colts Game – school assembly will be arranged and choir to sing O Canada.
* Added Spring Gift Basket fundraise with tickets to be sold at St. Mary’s Church at Coffee Sunday April 2nd.
* PRO Grant night on May 11th – Lou Kearsley to coordinate. /
Budget / Finances / Reviewed proposed budget incomes and expenses for the coming year. Council balance at this point is $3,480.29. Goal this year is to maintain things that have been done in the past i.e. Scientists in the School, Art in the Classroom and save a big fundraiser for next year i.e. Chocolates.
Breakfast/Snack Program: discussed continuing with fresh fruit but things that keep such as applies, mandarins. If sufficient funds don’t come from Eat Well to Excel then possible to get some support from Council.
Would like to offer Spirit Wear again – Carolyn Walsh to look into getting some samples for the Open House on September 29th / Approved /
Open House/Pizza Q / Council to have calendars and flyers available for handing out – possibly offer suckers again.
Jenn St. O class will prepare a Power Point which will be running to showcase the things the Council has purchased or supported. Also, they will make a sign for the table. / Should we only give them a lollipop if the parent takes a flyer? /

Looking for one or two people to take on Chair/Co-chair and Secretary/Communications positions. Hopefully we will have a nominee by next meeting. /
