This class instructs students on the safe employment of a firearm during active shooter incidents in schools, offices or other venues where these crimes have occurred. The course will address the following major topics:
Safety Exterior Contact
Combat Mindset Hallway CQB
Case Histories Single CQB
Range Fire Medical
Barricade Work Link Up with Police
Vehicle Deployment Scenarios
This course will focus on the safely resolving active shooter problems wherever they are encountered to include a safe link up with police. Course material will be applicable to civilians, teachers and police.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Students need a two-day tactical pistol certificate from a reputable trainer to attend.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Concealment Bag or holster, pistol, eye and ear protection. Bring inclement weather gear as required. Students will deploy weapon from concealed carry or Active Shooter bag during all scenarios and range fire.

SUBJECT: HOME DEFENSE COURSE
DATES:
LOCATION: NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS
INSTRUCTOR:
CSAT is proud to announce the instruction of a HOME DEFENSE COURSE I at the training facility in Nacogdoches. This course was developed for the American Citizen who wishes to learn how to protect themselves and their family. Students practice responding to high risk confrontations while at or arriving home.

This class focuses on the tactical employment of the rifle/pistol/shotgun under normal conditions. The class will also address the following:
· Safety
· Equipment Selection
· Weapon Familiarization
· Discrimination
· The use of cover
· Tactical response to core scenarios and legal considerations
· Link up procedures with police
· Medical
PREREQUISITES:
Students must have attended a Basic Two-Day Rifle or Pistol course from a reputable training group. If you are qualified with a pistol, bring that weapon. If you are qualified with a rifle, bring a rifle. If you are qualified with both, bring either.
AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS:

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
· Concealed Carry rig to include pistol, holster, magazines, eye and ear protection if pistol is to be used.
· Rifles will need slings.
· Handheld flashlight/weapon lights are optional.
· Bring water and inclement weather gear.
· Bring Pen/Pencil for notes. CD'S of information will be provided.
· 2 Old pairs of pants to be cut up during medical scenarios.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: None
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Students must make at least 70% on all quizzes and tests to complete the course. Further, students must pass 8 out of 10 shooting standards during a course of fire to qualify. Finally, students must successfully present a block of instruction to new students on day five or six.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: All normal tactical equipment including, pistol, holster, mag pouches, magazines, eye and ear protection. 1200 rounds for the pistol are required. Bring hot/cold weather gear as required. Handouts will be provided. Bring concealed carry equipment if so inclined. Also, bring a gun light and/or handheld light for low light work and at least 3 magazines. Also, bring cleaning gear.

· A stair-stepped shooting program that covers all the basic skills needed for surgical shooting.
· Discrimination
· The use of cover
· Transition drills
· Realistic time and accuracy standards will be used as a training standard and goal.
· Individual shooting plans will be developed and used.
· Shooting “work out” plans for future individual development will be taught.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

Instructor course will be run Day 1-4. On day 1, instructors will be assigned a block of instruction to be delivered to new students on day 5-6 which will be graded. Instructors will also be required to pass a shooting test and score 70% on written exams to pass the course.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: All normal tactical equipment including rifle, pistol, 3 magazines, magazine pouch, holster, eye and ear protection. 1200 rounds for the rifle and 50 pistol rounds are required. Bring Cleaning Equipment. Bring hot/cold weather gear as required.
