This section consists of 5 tanks for storing naphtha and 2 tanks for storing furnace oil.

REFORMER UNIT
  • Catalytic Steam reforming section is designed to produce a mixture of gases containing H2, CO2, CO, CH4 and H2O at the rate of 26.818 T/Hr. There are 264 tubes (8 rows of 33 tubes) and 90 burners in 9 rows in reformer. Furnace is a top fire furnace, operated at –1.85mmwc. ID/FD fans are used to giving combustion air to reformer and maintaining –ve pressure. Metallic Nickel is the catalyst for reforming.
COMPRESSOR UNIT

Our Ammonia Plant is housed with three centrifugal compressors which together handles various gases catering to the needs of the plant. The prime mover for these compressors is steam and gas turbines.

Process air Compressor (PAC) of capacity 44, 800 Nm3/Hr

Loop refrigeration Compressor (LRC) of capacity 56,724 Nm3/Hr

Synthesis gas Compressor (SGC) of capacity 1,30,522 Nm3/Hr and a re-circulator of capacity 5,30,000 Nm3/Hr

PAC is meant for supplying process air to the system. LRC takes care of Refrigeration Jobs in the synthesis area. SGC Handles synthesis gas for ammonia production.

PAC and LRC is of horizontal split casing type while the SGC is of vertical split type. The syngas LP/IP and loop refrigeration Compressors have seal oil system to effect perfect shaft sealing. Syngas HP/CIRCULATOR hasDRY GAS SEALS. The auxiliary units of these Compressors like lube oil pump and seal oil pump are also turbine driven.

NIOC – IRAN, PHASES 9&10

GAS SWEETENING UNIT

Treating sour gas from slug catcher to remove H2S from 0.69mole% to less than 3 ppm. Capacity of 535 MMSCFD.The process involves Absorbtion at 85 KSC (1220 psi) pressure and Regeneration at 2.0 KSC (29 psi) Absorbent – Methyl Di Ethanol Amine (MDEA). The Solution (Absorbent ) used for absorbing H2S is MDEA (Methyl Diethanol Amine). In this unit Absorber, Regenerator, Reboilers, flash drum are mainly used to sweetening of gas. I have good experience in solution handling and safe operations.

GAS DEHYDRATION UNIT

The removal of moisture from 0.146 mole% present insweet gas to less than 0.1 ppm to reduce dehydrated sweet gas for further process (CI and C2 for downstream process). The hygroscopic medium is MOLECULAR SIEVE.

DEMETHANISER AND DEETHANISER

The two columns is a STRIPPER-ABSORBER columns, gives

Methane cut, Ethane cut and NGLs cut. Operating temp. of

Demethaniser is -92.50c and pressure is 30bar. Cold box unit and

JOULE THOMSONvalves are using to attain this operating

Conditions.

SAFETY

  • HAZOP STUDY TEAM - Member of Hazop Study Team. Identified all the hazard potentials in the plant and make suggestions to rectify the conditions. Carrying out planned inspections and safety tours.
  • TRIP DRILL – Once in two months trip drill is conducted to ensure the efficiency of the operator to act fast in emergency.
  • MOCK DRILL – Once in three months safety mock drill is conducted. Officials will inform a dangerous condition in our are and they will declare emergency. All the personnel will handle the situation efficiently, quickly and properly.
  • SAFETY PROCEDURES – Well experienced in handing over any equipment for maintenance in a SAFE WAY knowing all procedures like ELECTRICAL CLEARANCE, CABLE Disconnection / Connection, isolation, flushing, purging etc.
  • Good experience in following all safety procedures to be followed during Vessel Entry, Hot work like welding, cutting, high elevation job, excavation jobs etc.
  • Having good knowledge about LEL & HEL of various chemicals.
  • Well trained in using H2S detectors, Gas monitors.
  • PTW SYSTEM – Experienced in preparation, issuing and following up of permit systems for Hot work, Cold work, Vessel Entry, Road closer, Excavation, work etc.
  • PPEs – Well trained in wearing and using all Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) etc.
