Camp Cyokamo –2017
Students and Parents…
Camp season is upon us! I want to make sure you are equipped with proper information for this coming week and what it will look like for your student.
Theme
Cyokamo’s theme for 2017 is The Kingdom. During our week at camp, we will dive into the parables of the Gospel of Matthew. I would encourage you to take a couple of evenings to read through some of the parables with your student in advance to prepare them for what they will be learning!
Itinerary
Please meet at the church on Sunday, June 4th no later than 1:45pm. We will want to get on the road as soon as possible and will need to load luggage and make sure payment/forms are in order.
We are expected to leave Cyokamo at 9am on Friday, June 9th. We are hoping to be back at Community Christian Church no later than 10:30am.
What to bring
v Bedding for a twin size mattress (sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, teddy bear)
v Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, etc.)
v Clothes enough for a week (you’ll want to pack old clothes, and athletic clothes)
v Swim suit (Girls must wear a one piece or have a dark t shirt over a two piece)
v Jacket or raincoat/Shoes/Sandals
v Money for missions
v Money for Cyokamo Swag Store
v A towel for showers and the pool
v Bible/Note book/pens or pencils
Things to leave at home
v Fireworks
v ipads, ipods, phones, cd players (make sure to bring an actual Bible instead of using a Bible phone app, as phones will not be accessible)
v Any drugs, alcohol, tobacco
