Student Poster Presentations at IOHA: IH/OH students are invited to submit proposals for posters. Publicize your work to conference attendees by creating a poster that summarizes your research and generates discussion and feedback. A poster allows you to present your research in a visually attractive and appealing manner. The interactions you have during a poster session can help you make connections with professionals in the field and gain recognition for your education institution. IOHA will have a dedicated display area for scientific and technical posters in the fields of IH/OH.

Title: The title should be clear and concise. *If selected, the title you provide will listed online and in printed materials. It may be edited for marketing purposes. (Limit of 500 characters)

Presenter: There is a maximum of one presenter for a poster. Full contact and biographical information is required. Additionally, you will be asked to input a faculty advisor for your research.

Description: This description will be published. Please enter a brief description to pique the interest of IOHA attendees. Be sure to include information on the country specific or global perspective your poster will address. *If selected, the description you provide will be used in the online session listing and program, and may be edited for marketing purposes. (Limit of 1500 characters)

Situation/Problem: Provide a clear statement of the problem addressed or the issue or research question you investigated. (Limit of 1500 characters)

Methods: Discuss the methods, procedures and testing used to investigate your research question. Please include sample measures used, research tools or other equipment, manipulations, correlations or comparisons of interest, strengths and limitations of methodology. (Limit of 3000 characters)

Results/Conclusions: Results: Discuss and analyze your research results. Explain outcomes or findings in accessible terms.

Conclusions: Explain the implications and relevance of your findings, with consideration for longer-term impact. Conclusions should be framed as take-away lessons. (Limit 3000 characters)

Topic: Please select one primary topic area (required). This information will be used to place sessions into appropriate tracks, for scheduling purposes and marketing.

Hazard Recognition, Evaluation & Controls (includes topics such as: Biological Monitoring, Biosafety, Exposure Assessment, Fatigue Management, Indoor Environmental Quality/Indoor Air Quality, PPE, Cost-Effective Control Strategies, Real-Time Detection Systems, Risk Assessment, Sampling & Analysis)

Emerging Issues (includes topics such as: Hazard Banding/OEL Process, Sensor Technologies, Emerging Markets/Global EHS Standards of Care, IH Value Strategy, Incident Preparedness & Response, Changing Workforce Demographics/Environment, Big Data: Data Management & Interpretation, Total Worker Health)

Student Poster Presentation Submission Agreement: You will be asked to agree to the following terms.

·  All proposals must be submitted electronically via the online form (https://ww2.aievolution.com/aih1802/).

·  Proposals left in draft form at the time of the submission deadline will NOT be considered to be a submission.

·  By submitting this proposal, you agree that if it is selected, you are agreeing to create a poster for presentation at IOHA 2018 that conforms to all guidelines.

·  All poster session speakers must pay and register for IOHA and are responsible for their own transportation, housing, and meals.

·  Submitters will be notified of acceptance/denial decisions via email.
