- he is a good teacher i think econ is not my strongest class, nor really is it anybosy elses. i material is just really hard for me so it is hard for me to understand. it's kind of to advanced for me. it seems as thought other people have trouble to in that class. he is not a bad teacher he just knows a lot more than we do, which is good, but it makes it harder for us to understand. theres too much information to learn and we only have 2 tests and its all combined into 2 tests which is a lot. .

- economics is a very hard course to teach to students who are not interested in the subject. this teacher’s greatest strength is being able to twist the material into a situation in which the average student would understand. also, his 8 am classes are not boring; he is lively and very upbeat. it would be hard to fall asleep in his class. 1, it’s guaranteed you’ll miss a funny comment by him and 2, you’ll miss important notes you’ll need for the next quiz..

What can this instructor do to improve his or her teaching effectiveness in this class?
- slow down when he's doing example problems. he moves really fast and some can't follow his work..
- can't think of anything. although i may not get the grade i want, i feel like i have really learned a lot, and that's what's important. i feel like i did fine on quizzes and understanding class lectures, but the tests were extremely difficult. that's part of it though. really great teacher, loves what he does, and wants to make sure students understand. .
- keep up the good work.
- nothing.
- handwriting. on the white board he sometimes writes a little too fast which in turn changes his words to gibberish. .
- maybe slow down just a bit when he is teaching supply and demand with the graphs b/c when i was taking notes and trying to draw the graph he would have already moved on to the next problem..
- keep doing what he is doing!.
- nothing, its an interesting yet challenging course.
- make the material a little easier especially since we are non majors our brains don't think like that. .
- not much. he is awesome. it has been a privilege to have him as my professor. .
- nothing.
- i thought the teaching was fine. he wrote on the board and was easy to follow. .
- he could have a study session before each exam..
- he is an excellent teacher, but i suppose he could work on his handwriting!.
- little improvement can be made. he is already extremely effective..
- his cursing is distasteful..
- he goes through the information too fast..
- write more legibly..
- nothing really.
- nothing.
- n/a.
- i would suggest perhaps assigning homework at times..
- nothing.
- i do not think that there is any way that dr. clark could improve his teaching effectiveness. he has teaching economics and society down to a science.
- i felt like he was setting me up to fail sometimes with the tests. esp bc he always talked about how students never get a's on his tests and that a lot of students fail his first test. i just felt as if he was trying to make the class hard and did not care a whole lot sometimes. .
- keep doing what you are doing.
- nothing. he is a fantastic teacher! .
- nothing that i can think of..
- teach slower.
Additional comments:
- he was a little difficult grade-wise, but he's very intelligent and fair. i liked coming to his challenging class. and indeed, his class was a challenge. i make all as, but i think this will be my first b..
- i think he is a really great, interesting, well informed teacher. the only one negative comment i would have is that i do not like how the quizzes, and tests are given back because there is alot of commotion with people getting out of the chairs. then once we get to the table that they are laid on, other students are able to see our grades. that would be the one and only thing and it wouldn't prevent me from taking many more classes from dr. clark..
- great teacher!.
- anyone who says that this is not an excellent class is wrong.
- it was way to early in the morning!!!.
- he deserves a big ol raise and a promotion..
- in high school, economics was so boring! i definitely did not think i could like it as much as i did. i really enjoyed this course so much i considered changing my major for a while..
- there should be an additional test during the semeser, so that so much of the students grade will not depend on the first and second test. .
- best economics instructor i've had!.
- awesome class. even though i don't have to take it again next year i would if i wanted to..
- good teaching..
- he's awesome!!.
- awesome teacher. would definitely be interested taking more of his classes in the future .
- i enjoyed listening in class, but i dont think that the tests accurately reflected what we covered during the lecutre, nor did it reflect my knowledge..
- i really enjoyed being in prof. clark's class and i learned alot more than i would have learned if i had a different teacher! he made me want to learn when i came to class each week! he makes his class so interesting each time! .
