Our Group Issue To Deal With-Hazmat Disaster in Crescent City (fiction place)

·  Each group was predetermined by the number on the playing card given to him/her

o  Each group was in charge of a different part of the city (i.e.- Business Leaders, Airport Officials, Local Municipalities…)

·  The problem at hand was a hazardous spill caused by the collision of a tanker truck and a train carrying tanks

·  Each department had a certain responsibility during each timeframe of the event and groups were to work together to ensure the safety of the city and the citizens within the city

·  Each group had a “leader” that would be the overall decision maker for that specific department and would also be the negotiator for the department on what was to be done

·  The overall “project leader” had the final say in what occurred and was to make decisions and approve the decisions of other groups

·  In the end, the hazard was controlled and the city was safe again; each person received a certificate of participation and filled out a “final thoughts” survey on the event

NEXT EVENT WILL BE AT PARKLAND HIGH SCHOOL ON DECEMBER 8TH, 2010; BE PREPARED FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITES!
