  2. USF COM graduation location TBA, problems finding available appropriate accommodations
  3. Combined MED/DPT graduation
  4. Pros and Cons from last meeting reiterated
  5. DPT representatives expressed that the class is divide in support and opposition to combined graduation
  6. Reasons – separate graduations would not have certified graduation/hooding/provost in attending, not having own speakers, time constraints, not having COM faculty in attendance, too small of a group if on own, fear of not getting own recognition, only 1 yr of integration, not graduating with same class that you worked with, concerned with money.
  7. DPT Class of 08 feels they should have their own graduation. Class of 09 concerned with getting lost in the crowd.
  8. Class of 77, 87, 97 reunion – volunteers for tours of new facilities: Crystal, Nadia, Maria, Farah, Jason, Nishit
  9. VP IT updates - Send mission statements and pictures of organizations
  10. Senate Updates – Pete Chang not in attendance, excused.
  11. Student Health: administration working to get better access to student health on main campus, there will be evening hrs by appt
  12. Facilities updates
  13. Gym updates – will be open by August 13th, will not be 24hrs
  14. Defibrillator on its way, rules posted
  15. First yrs to keep both the kitchen and gym clean – approved by council
  16. Welcoming the class 2011 – starting Aug 13th
  17. Need to get a list of the 12 PAC events to get upper classman in attendance
  18. Introductory meeting – August 13th, Maria working on changing second yr Colloquium class
  19. Organizational Fair – Aug 22 from 11-1pm in Rotunda, Tijuina Flats to cater, need to know who to ask for use of Nursing study/lounge area.

  22. Admissions Committee member voted, Student affairs approval will be submitted

  28. Planning on dry run Aug 14th, first patients Aug 28
  29. Tower, QUEST, specialty clinic referrals on board, Klasko pledged 10K
  30. Honor Council – modifications ready, voting process scattered, 4th yrs will start voting soon, 2nd yr announcements on first day of classes, 1st yrs will vote during biochem, polls will be open for 1mo
  31. Class updates
  32. COM 2010 – summer break, Fundraiser of bull pin with graduation yr set up for incoming class, possible expansion to offer to other classes
  33. COM 2009 – third yr in clinics, longitudinal clerkship liaison
  34. COM 2008 – Required clerkships are different, graduation location TBA
  35. DPT 08 – working on planning a golf tournament with half of proceeds going to BRIDGE clinic
  36. DPT 09 – No updates, incoming DPT10 start on Aug 30th, hosting Clonclave/student conference in September
