At this time the IT classes are preparing the students ready for the MOS and Adobe certifications. Certifications like Microsoft’s Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe’s Photoshop Cloud, Illustrator and InDesign. The networking students are working on the MTAs certifications.

AOIT Recruiting new members on campus: Wednesday October 5th Miami Beach had a Club Fair for clubs to recruit new members. AOIT was represented showing our robotics, websites and other programs we provide for our students.

AOIT Parent Night will be held October 29, 2016 7:00 PM
An opportunity for parents to get involved with their child’s education. Parents will find out about the many programs that AOIT provides and how parents can help their child to be successful.

Student Club Activities/Special Events

  1. Curriculum Enhancement
  • One Drive and SharePoint use by all NAF students.
  • Students in the Introduction of Information Technology working hard with the CODE.org curriculum and preparing for the Dreamweaver Industry Certification
  • This past year the AOIT Articulation was very successful! This year we are starting with 128 freshmen in AOIT.
  • Students in Administrative Office Technology and Business Software 1 using IT Microsoft in getting prepared for the MOS certifications.
  • Use of GMetrix in Microsoft Applications, and MTA and Adobe to prepare all the students for the many Industry Certifications.
  1. Staff Development
  2. Teachers are learning how to use Microsoft IT Academy and OneDrive and SharePoint.
  3. Teachers are encouraged to continue in higher certifications. Mr. Ellis in Networking, Mr. Schmidt in Expert in Microsoft Applications for this year.
  4. Currently all IT Teachers are going through training to pass Industry Certifications in their areas.

  2. Preparing students for internships through and NAF Track.
  3. Setting up with the representative with Men’s Wearhouse to create a “Dress for Success” program for the NAF students.

  3. Currently working with the Administration and Counselors to add Programming Stem to the AOIT program.
