Library: Is open before school beginning at 8:20 a.m. and afterschool until 3:50. You do not need a pass to go to the library at 8:20 or after school. However, you must have a pass to go to the library during lunch time. Come and enjoy the library during these times.
Important announcement for 8thgraders:The window to request an intradistrict transfer is January 15 – February 15. If you are thinking about attending a high school other than your high school of residence you must apply for an intradistrict transfer. If you do not fill out the paperwork within the time line you will not likely receive the transfer. See Mrs. Slick if you have a question.

Football decorating contest: In recognition of the upcoming Super Bowl, there will be a football helmet decorating contest in the library. Come get a paper helmet and decorate with your favorite team’s logo. Contest will end Wednesday, January 31stand winners announced on Friday, February 2nd.
Limo Ride and DJ Party – If you sold over 30 items for the Cherrydale fundraiser, you earned a limo ride to Dave and Buster’s next Thursday, January 18thfrom 10:30-1:30. You will be called to pick up a permission slip today.
STORY OF GÖRDON: Hello, Vikings! Our mascot has a name, now heneeds a story! Be creative and write a story of who Gördon is, where he came from and how he came to representCMS. CHAMPION YOUTH SPORTS– is offering self-defense/safety awareness and soccer classes. Pick up a flier from the Student Center regarding registration or go online at HARKINS MOVIE TICKETS: PTSA is selling Harkins movie tickets every Thursday before and after school to help support music and drama boosters.
