1.Welcome

2. Committee Human Research Representative (Erin)

Introduce committee members: Don Steinwachs and various other committee members

Discussion: 3 ways to view how to structure IRB student involvement

a) Student perspective

b) Education and training for students

c) Students are part of community that we access for expertise

Options:

2 term consultant

2 yr commitment

Proposal: Have both systems simultaneously, have a 2 year commitment, and 2 term commitment, so as to service the b) and c) above viewpoints served.

Next Steps: Don Steinwachs from IRB will draft a proposal with ad hoc committee (include student rep) and come back for SA opinion.

3. Vote for Budget Change to establish the community service fund.

$ 1000 extra for community service fund

Community Affairs is in charge of publicizing

4. Implications of Hopkins One (new administrative system) on SA activities; Solicit feedback for more ways to streamline the funding/reimbursement process.

Complicated: require budget # only after they submit a BAF

By-Laws: Student Groups and Finance and Appropriations will discuss how we will do this
