Automatic Regional Campus Incentive Scholarships!
Regional Campus Incentive Scholarship This scholarship is designed for students from UConn’s regional campuses (Avery Point, Greater Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury) who wish to study abroad on semester-long and/or summer programs. Regional students who complete the “Global Citizenship/Regional Campus Incentive Scholarship” questionnaire within their study abroad applications, who are accepted and who commit to semester-long or summer study abroad programs will receive a minimum of $400 inscholarship support from UConn Education Abroad. To be eligible for this scholarship, studentsmust complete and submit theirscholarship applications by the program applicationdeadline on the UConn EducationAbroad website. Scholarship decisions are based on both financial need and merit.If a student withdraws from his/her study abroad program after being awarded the scholarship, UConn Education Abroad reserves the right to revoke the scholarship award.

Part-Time Internship – Mentoring@ M.E.F.I.R.S.T. LLC, Waterbury CT
Responsibilities: Take the lead in supporting a young person through an on-going, one-to-one relationship. Make a 3 month to one-year commitment if needed. Spend a minimum of 4 hours a week with mentee. Communicate with the mentee weekly and Attend optional mentor/mentee group events, mentor support groups, and program recognition events
Requirements: Should be at minimum an undergraduate student, excellent listener, patient and flexible, knowledgeable, tolerant and respectful of multicultural differences. Be at least 21 years old, a resident of CT, interested in working with young people, willing to adhere to all program policies and procedures, be dependable and consistent in meeting the time commitments. Days/Hours vary depending on intern’s school schedule
Rate of pay: $100 monthly stipend

Part-Time Job, Patron Services Manager, Waterbury Symphony Orchestra, Waterbury CT
Responsibilities: The Patron Services Manager manages both the Box Office and Donor Services functions. This person maintains a comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date database for the organization, integrating ticketing and donation records through WSO’s Patron Manager software.
As Box Office Manager, this person is the primary point of contact for all subscribers and single ticket buyers, and is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the Symphony’s online ticket sales system and giving friendly and personalized assistance with customers’ phone, mail, and in-person ticketing requests.
As Donor Services Manager responsible for all gift entry and the processing of all acknowledgements, maintaining detailed donor records, and providing a high level of customer service to the organization’s membership base. Prepares acknowledgment letters for all donations and pledges on a regular basis and with the Annual Fund Campaign.
The Box Office and Donor Services Manager is responsible for producing a wide array of reports, and the ongoing maintenance of WSO’s database as a whole, assuring the addition of important records, error correction, the merging of redundant information, and the updating of constituents’ contact information and acknowledgment preferences.
This person may be asked to perform other duties as required, including managing vendor relationships, tracking meeting schedules, and other general clerical functions in the context of a small, team-oriented office.
Requirements: Strong ability in using computers and especially databases (Patron Manager and/or Salesforce experience a valuable plus, however WSO will provide specialized training as needed). Attention to detail. Customer service experience – a “people person”. Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information. Able to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances. Interest in orchestral music and/or experience as a musician
