TEACHERS:

SENIORS:

1)  Seniors….well, the year is half over and you will soon be graduating! Why not remember your senior year here at SDHS with a personalized page in the yearbook! Have your parents visit Jostens.com to design your special space. It can be a full page or smaller.

2)  JUST A REMINDER! If you have not ordered your cap and gown for graduation, NOW is the time to do so. Go to Jostens.com and get this taken care of. Wearing a cap and gown is a requirement at graduation and due to the fact the gown has been redesigned, you will not be able to wear someone’s from years past. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT US TO HAVE ONE FOR YOU AT GRADUATION AS WE WILL NOT. YOU MUST ORDER YOUR OWN.

STUDENTS:

1)  If you need BEHIND THE WHEEL, please see Coach Kirby, Coach Johnson or Coach Floyd ASAP.

2)  The yearbook staff needs your help capturing this school year in photos! We can’t be everywhere and know we are missing great photo of school and out of school activities. Download the FREE REPLAY IT app and start sharing your action shots. Your photos may be featured in this year’s yearbook!

3)  Do you have a friend that might be experiencing some problems at school or home? Well……you can help! You may refer them to the “Student Assistance Team”, which is totally confidential program. Simply fill out a green referral form; you don’t even have to place your name on the form!!. The referral boxes have been moved. One is located in the Guidance Office and the other is on the wall between the bathrooms in Mr. Carter’s hallway. You can make a difference in reaching out and helping another person!

4)  What does $65 buy you? A half of a Coach Purse, A sleeve of a Carhart Jacket, a portion of a Gaming System? OR…..A BOOK FULL OF LIFETIME MEMORIES!!! Go to Jostens.com to order your yearbook or see Mrs. Quesenberry before or after school. A purse gets lost, a jacket falls apart and a gaming system breaks; a Yearbook will last forever.

5)  COME SEE THE FACULTY COME OUT PLAYING HARD AND THE STUDENTS “LOLLYGAGING” DOWN THE COURT.!! WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE……WHO IS GOING TO WIN?!?!? DON’T MISS AN EXCITING NIGHT OF BASKETBALL NEX T FRIDAY, FEB. 26! COST IS $5.

6)  FFA members who have sold strawberries need to turn their orders in TODAY!

7)  CONGRATULATIONS to Kimmy Mawyer for being selected for All State Choir. She will represent SDHS at Virginia Beach in April! We also want to congratulation our alternates: Jamison Raiford, Ian Gallaugher, Jazmin Howard and Kallie Shirley. GREAT JOB, COUGARS!!

8)  All band members in the pit for Cinderella need to meet briefly right after school in the band room to discuss rehearsal schedule.
