NEWS LETTER

We are happy to release the next newsletter to keep you informed about of various activities of the Forum. There has been a long gap of about eight years and the Forum has come a long way in the intervening period.

The Forum has organized 65 events since its inception so far, in which over 2500 people have participated. There have been 17 Seminars and Conferences conducted in various partner institution.

Thanks to active support of the partner institutions, IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIML, IIMK, IIMI, IIFT, MDI and XLRI a well as the All India Council of Technical Education, the Forum has organized 19 Foundation Courses in which close to 600 persons have participated. Besides 29 Elective Courses at various partner institutions, in which close to 750 attended.

Announcements

The following events of the Forum have been planned during the year 2011-12.

1.. Elective Courses of Management Teachers’ Programme at the following institutions have been announced.

1.  Blue Ocean Strategy, IIM, Kozhikde, Dec. 3-8, 2011

2.  International Business Stratgy, IIFT, New Delhi, (new dates to be announced)

3.  Managing Strategic Incoherence, IIM Lucknow, NOIDA Campus Jan. 2-7, 2012

4.  Innovation and Technology Strategy, BIMTECH, Greater NOIDA, Apr. 2-6, 2012

2. 15thAnnual Convention will be held at IIM Indore May 3-5, 2012.

3. The Forum has also taken a new initiative of organizing Regional Conferences, which are to be jointly organized by 3-4 leading private institutions. The basic objective of these conferences is to promote research on some key national issues and organize 2-3 conferences, one after another (after a gap of 3 -6 months) in different parts of the country (north/south, east/ west), so that superior quality of papers are developed in a building block manner. This may not be possible unless 3-4 institutions join hands to work together supporting all the conferences. This year we are planning two regional conferences, one in the north and another in south, on topics of significant importance. The details of Conferences are being worked out and shall be released in due course.

Executive Committee

The Forum did not have any formal executive structure till recently. In the last Governing Board meeting it was decided to create an Executive Committee with following office bearers to give impetus to various activities of the Forum.
