Lessons from today’s story

  • To truly love someone you must love everything and everyone that they love. It is the duty of all Muslims to love the companions of our prophet (S) like Zayd (R) because our prophet (S) loved them very much.
  • Our parents are a special gift from God and He has chosen them for us. The Quran tells us to call each other by our fathers name and on the Day of Judgement that is how we will be called. How will your name be called?
  • Dua is the weapon of a believer – more powerful than anything else; but weapons should be used for protection and to help others not to attack others. The best duas are those that praise God, ask for his help and those that ask God for others as well as themselves. If someone has hurt us we should pray for them and forgive them. God is the one who is all-hearing and the one who answers our prayers
