RACE 1 [TF1470]

CLASS 5 LC (D) 1200M

DIVISION 1

PRECIOUS GEM (D David), which was marginally slow to begin, was bumped by HEE'S FORTE (App S Noh), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

KUBERA'S CHIEF (Z Zuriman) and LUCKY BOY (K A'Isisuhairi) bumped on jumping. Shortly thereafter, KUBERA'S CHIEF was bumped by LUCKY BOY, which shifted outwards after being bumped by MOON CHARM (M Nunes), which in turn had been bumped by CERDAN (W Pike), which jumped outwards at the start. LUCKY BOY and MOON CHARM were both then buffeted for a short distance between KUBERA'S CHIEF and CERDAN, which continued to shift outwards.

DICAPRIO (M Ewe) began awkwardly.

Near the 1000m, MUSCULAR DRAGON (O Placais) lost ground when momentarily crowded by GOLD MOSA (I Saifudin), which shifted inwards when being steadied to avoid the heels of RAPTOR (B Vorster), which laid inwards.

After passing the 1000m, LUCKY BOY got its head up and proved difficult to ride for a short distance when being eased off the heels of HEE'S FORTE, which shifted inwards. App Noh was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

DICAPRIO, which raced wide throughout, had a tendency to lay outwards in the early and middle stages.

After passing the 800m, MUSCULAR DRAGON got its head up when being eased and becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of GOLD MOSA.

Jockey M Zaki, the rider of GOLDEN JADE, reported that his whip broke in the early part of the straight.

Near the 250m, LUCKY BOY was eased after racing up onto the heels of BORN A FIGHTER (App S Shafrizal).

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that LUCKY BOY had returned with the saddle having slipped back during the running of the race.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DICAPRIO which revealed no apparent abnormality. DICARPRIO, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LUCKY BOY which revealed that the horse returned as a roarer. LUCKY BOY will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again.

Jockey Saifudin, the rider of GOLD MOSA, was dislodged from his horse after the race and to avoid any unnecessary delay, he was exempted from the weigh-in.

RACE 2 [TF1471]

MAIDEN LC (D) 1400M

DIVISION 2

ELITE CONQUEROR (App R Zawari) and THREE LIONS (B Vorster) bumped on jumping.

INFANTRY ECLIPSE (A Munro) was slow into stride.

QINGDAO (App CK Ng) was bumped on jumping by RACE FOR FAME (N Jugllal), which jumped outwards. RACE FOR FAME was then bumped on the hindquarters by HOLY THOMAS (I Saifudin), which was carried outwards by PARAGON STAR (R Woodworth), which shifted outwards after jumping away awkwardly.

INFANTRY ECLIPSE overraced and proved difficult to settle from the 1300m until the 600m.

ELITE CONQUEROR raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

SATELLITE CLASSIC (WL Ho) raced wide throughout.

Near the 700m, HOLY THOMAS eased to avoid the heels of INFANTRY ECLIPSE, which rolled inwards slightly.

Near the 400m, HOLY THOMAS, which was making ground, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of BOHEMIAN (D David), which shifted inwards. HOLY THOMAS then changed course outwards, however the gelding was then held up for clear running for a short distance behind ELITE CONQUEROR. After obtaining clear running, HOLY THOMAS had a tendency to lay inwards over the concluding stages.

After passing the 300m, ELITE CONQUEROR eased to avoid the heels of START ME UP (M Zaki), which shifted inwards under pressure.

Approaching the 100m, THREE LIONS changed course inwards to obtain clear running. THREE LIONS then had to be eased to avoid the heels of HIGH STREET (I Azhar), which rolled inwards near the 50m.

Shortly after passing the 100m, PARAGON STAR shifted inwards and brushed the running rail. PARAGON STAR then shifted outwards and made contact with RACE FOR FAME on a couple of occasions.

Over the concluding stages, THREE LIONS was held up for clear running.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on QINGDAO which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

Jockey Munro, when questioned regarding the run of INFANTRY ECLIPSE, stated that after being slow into stride, he urged his mount along in an attempt to improve its position. However, his mount overraced and proved difficult to settle for some distance thereafter. He further stated that the Blinkers, which were being worn by INFANTRY ECLIPSE for the first time in a race, may have contributed to the gelding overracing. Jockey Munro added that INFANTRY ECLIPSE was disappointing over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on INFANTRY ECLIPSE which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 3 [TF1472]

CLASS 3 LC (D) 1600M

Trainer S Burridge was fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 35(1) in that EASTER MATE (D David) was presented without a Special Bit which was part of its approved gear.

GUILTY PLEASURES (M Kellady) was slow to begin.

MURRAYFIELD (A Munro) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped SQUIRE OSBALDESTON (C Grylls). SQUIRE OSBALDESTON and DEE DEE D'OR (M Nunes) were both then buffeted when crowded between MURRAYFIELD and LIM'S ROYAL (W Pike), which jumped awkwardly outwards.

DEE DEE D'OR and MURRAYFIELD both raced keenly in the early stages.


MURRAYFIELD raced wide throughout.

Near the 250m, DEE DEE D'OR was inconvenienced by CHAIRMAN (J Powell), which rolled outwards under pressure.

Near the 50m, CHAIRMAN was brushed by EASTER MATE, which shifted outwards under pressure.

DEE DEE D'OR had a tendency to lay inwards in the homestraight.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DEE DEE D'OR which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 4 [TF1473]

INITIATION POLYTRACK 1100M

Acting on veterinary advice that MEDIATOR (V Duric) was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1439Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

RIN TIN TIN (App S Shafrizal), which was slow to begin, jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped the hindquarters of NOVA CLASSIC (WL Ho).

GOLDEN FATKID (A Munro) was slow to begin after beginning awkwardly.

DYNAMIC EAGLE (W Pike) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped BIG WAVE (D David).

DYNAMIC EAGLE proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

BIG WAVE raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 300m, GOOD PEOPLE (R Woodworth) eased to avoid the heels of RIN TIN TIN, which shifted outwards.

Shortly after passing the 300m, CHOCANTE (B Vorster) laid inwards and carried BIG WAVE in.

RACE 5 [TF1474]

CLASS 5 LC (D) 1200M

DIVISION 2

SILENT CONNECTION (App CK Ng), which jumped away awkwardly, made slight contact with MUSCULAR SPRINTER (J Powell). SILENT CONNECTION then shifted inwards abruptly and bumped KING STEAD (M Nunes), which in turn had been bumped outwards by EVERTRUST (B Vorster).

Shortly after the start, OCEAN GENERAL (S John) shifted inwards abruptly and made heavy contact with LET'S TALK NOW (App S Noh), which became unbalanced and shifted inwards. URBAN LEGEND (K A'Isisuhairi), which was following, had to be eased in consequence.

Approximately 50m after the start, MILLION ROUND (I Saifudin) shifted inwards and bumped SACRED CROWN (N Juglall) in onto MUSCULAR SPRINTER.

Near the 1200m, KING STEAD laid inwards and made contact with EVERTRUST.

OCEAN GENERAL raced keenly in the middle stages.

SACRED CROWN hung outwards from the 800m until the 600m.

MARGAUX (D David) had some difficulty obtaining clear running from the 600m until near the 400m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EVERTRUST which revealed no apparent abnormality.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that OCEAN GENERAL exhibited clinical signs of heat stress after the race. OCEAN GENERAL will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 6 [TF1475]

CLASS 4 LC (D) 1600M

ON ELECTRIC AVENUE (J Powell) began awkwardly.

RAFALE (TH Koh) jumped inwards at the start and bumped KOKONI (M Nunes).

At the same time, KOKONI was bumped by LIM'S BULLET (B Vorster), which jumped away awkwardly.

SOUTHERN GLORY (N Juglall) jumped awkwardly outwards bumping STEEL CUTTER (C Grylls) out onto STORM TROOPER (App R Zawari), which in turn made contact with the hindquarters of MILLENNIUM'S RULE (D David).

Near the 1300m, RAFALE eased to avoid the heels of KOKONI, which shifted inwards.

NOBLE LIAISON (W Pike) hung inwards from the 1000m.

PIONEER STEP (A Munro) raced wide from the 800m.

For a short distance near the 700m, RAFALE, DANZEB (O Placais) and STEEL CUTTER all raced tight to the inside of PIONEER STEP.

Making the turn into the straight, ON ELECTRIC AVENUE and NOBLE LIAISON both raced tight and brushed on a number of occasions.

RAFALE was held up for clear running from the 300m until near the 150m.

Near the 150m, STORM TROOPER eased to avoid the heels of RAFALE, which shifted outwards.

Approaching the 100m, DANZEB checked and KOKONI was hampered when racing between MILLENNIUM'S RULE and RAFALE. STORM TROOPER, which was following, was hampered in consequence. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 50m, RAFALE had to be eased outwards to avoid the heels of LIM'S BULLET, which shifted outwards slightly.

Jockey Pike, when questioned regarding the run of NOBLE LIAISON, stated that after jumping from the wide barrier, his mount hung inwards badly and did not travel comfortably throughout. He further stated that when placed under pressure, NOBLE LIAISON failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. His explanation was noted. NOBLE LIAISON was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse returned lame near-fore. NOBLE LIAISON, which also hung inwards badly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 7 [TF1476]

MAIDEN LC (D) 1400M

DIVISION 1

EASTERN VICTORY (I Saifudin) was slow to begin.

AEOLUS (App CK Ng) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped BATTLE PLAN (C Grylls). Shortly after, AEOLUS shifted outwards and made contact with BATTLE PLAN. BATTLE PLAN was then bumped by WALTERS BAY (N Juglall), which shifted inwards.

BALKAN CHALLENGER (A Munro) and ELITE EMPEROR (M Zaki) bumped on jumping.

Near the 1000m, BRING ME JOY (V Duric) shifted inwards and made contact with ALRINA (App N Hanafi).


WALTERS BAY raced wide throughout.

AEOLUS raced wide from the 800m.

Shortly after passing the 800m, EASTERN VICTORY had to be steadied after racing up onto the heels of BATTLE PLAN.

Near the 550m, EASTERN VICTORY eased when momentarily crowded between ELITE EMPEROR and BATTLE PLAN, which rolled inwards slightly.

RACE 8 [TF1477]

CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1700M

As the start was effected, RAMZES (M Zaki) stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground. RAMZES will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

GOLDEN THUNDER (M Ewe) and QUETZAL (App S Noh) bumped on jumping. GOLDEN THUNDER was then bumped heavily by RED RACKHAM (D David), which jumped awkwardly outwards. As a result, GOLDEN THUNDER became unbalanced and bumped QUETZAL.

GIORGIO (WL Ho) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped RED RIDING WOOD (M Nunes). GIORGIO then shifted inwards and crowded ZAHIR (B Vorster) in onto ARCHER COMPANY (N Juglall).

Shortly after the start, GALAXY EXPRESS (A Munro) had to be eased inwards to avoid the heels of MONGOLIAN CHIEF (App CK Ng), which shifted inwards after being bumped by RED RACKHAM.

Near the 1600m, QUETZAL was eased when crowded between GOLDEN THUNDER, which rolled outwards slightly and ARCHER COMPANY, which was carried inwards by GIORGIO.

ZAHIR raced wide throughout.

ARCHER COMPANY raced wide from the 1000m.

Over the concluding stages, GOLDEN THUNDER hung outwards, resulting in its rider being unable to ride the gelding out in his normal manner.


RED RACKHAM, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

Jockey Munro, when questioned regarding the run of GALAXY EXPRESS, stated that after jumping well from its inside barrier, he was able to secure a position in the midfield. He further stated that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages, however, when placed under pressure from the 600m, it failed to respond and was one-paced. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GALAXY EXPRESS which revealed no apparent abnormality.
