Meeting called to Order by Chuck Dougherty, President

Board Members in Attendance: Chuck Dougherty, President and Acting Treasurer; Larry Loyer, Secretary; Alex Rojas, Lowell Inn; Heidi Rosebud, Just For Me Spa.

Quorum: Yes

Approval of Agenda: Heidi/Alex - Approved

Approval of Last Meeting Minutes: Under “Partner’s Report:…Greater Stillwater Chamber” change “March 11” to“April 11th” – Approval of minutes tabled until next meeting

Treasurers – No actual report. Revenue Summary submitted. Treasurer’s report will be emailed.

Partner’s Report –

Mike Runk, City of Oak Park Heights – Plans for the93 room Holiday Inn Expresshave been submitted the permitting process has begun. It will be 4 stories tall with a pool and no restaurant. Construction will begin later this year for a 2019 opening.

Robin Anthony, Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce – The Community Showcase is coming up April 14, State of the Cities is April 11th, they have hired another part time person and in the process of moving their offices back to their former location.

Marketing Report – Christie attended state tourism convention in Mankato. We are now an official member of MACVB and Christie will be our representative. She distributed magazines that feature our ads.

Discussion Items:

CVB Board Voting members, Elections and Bylaw Considerations – Chuck distributed copies of the bylaws. He recommends we add 4 more voting members – Chamber, IBA, a restaurant/bar/attraction and one more large accommodations property. This will be a change to the bi-laws which we will need to submit to the city council. Chuck will make a draft of the proposed bi-laws changes to be voted on at the next meeting. Discussion ensued about the categories of the voting members.

Treasurer/Bookkeeping Roles and Vendors – Chuck is currently acting treasurer and president. We are looking into hiring a bookkeeper and having a board position as treasurer. Alex might be interested in the board position.

Annual Tourism Mixer – May 17th 5:00-8:00 pm, Waterstreet Inn. Christie and Robin have met to discuss the event. The CVB will contribute $2,000 to partially fund the event. Waterstreet Inn will sponsor the drinks at 1 complimentary drinks per person. The Chamber will supply staff. Heidi/Alex approved
