Casino Account on Deposit $3327.26 - $863.00 of this has been in this account for as long as Veronica can remember – it was decided to make a purchase with these funds as they must be allocated to something specific for the Association.
Signing Authority must be changed from Kevin Repchuk to John Davis – Veronica will set this up and advise those that need to resign.

Tentative Registration Dates – August 27 & 28, 2008
Registration Letter – Basically the same as 2007/08 – adding in a few things such as the
Rebels Game - Forms Required – Birth Certificate – Parent Declaration- Release Letters – Player Verification - Legal Land Description very Important – also include a request for Evaluators & on ice Help for tryouts.
For Registration it was mentioned to maybe have 2 Tables set up 1 for In Town and the other for County.
Also to further review the Boundary Map as for example if you live in Donalda you actually are required to tryout in Bashaw which would be within the Camrose Boundary – Not Stettler
Registration Letter to be sent out By the End of July 2008.
Note: Hockey Alberta States that ALL players are to be released back to their own association at the end of each season.
Try Out Fee $40.00 this will consist of 3 Ice Sessions
It was discussed that SMHA hold a Conditioning / Power Skating – upon further discussion we decided to Approach Cindy Savage and have her put on a Power Skating Clinic and then as done in previous years SMHA would hire Cindy Savage & Annette Lee to work with the Coaches once the teams have been set to arrange Power Skating for their team.
Ice Allocator: Trina York
All Ice is currently booked.
Figure Skating has moved to 2 AM Practices – Monday & Tuesday – so therefore SMHA will look at moving the Atom “C” Team to PM Practice Times vs. AM.
If any other Ice Slots become available it was suggested that we would use this for a Goalie Clinic.
Tournaments – This year teams will go together to host their tournaments. Eg – Atom “A” / “B”/ “C” will host the same weekend using both Ice Surfaces.

Net Income $47000.00 for 2007/08 – Budget was for $40K
March & April had a net income of $27k
Town of Stettler has requested that we utilize the Concession further - Kevin is going to research other Concession’s within North Central has to how they are operated.
Once this has been done we may also have to review our Concession Managers duties.

Neil discussed purchasing the Team Canada – Skills of Gold CD’s - Cost would be $80.00/set – It was Motioned to purchase 2 sets of these CD’s by Matt Cassidy 2nd by Wendy Kossowan
Goalie Clinics – When to start ?? – Potentially the end of August in the evenings – also will put on 1 or 2 Clinics throughout the season.
It was decided to host 2 Clinics in August @ 1 ½ hours each – Trina / Neil will finalize the date and times and further discuss with the Instructors that would be required. – SMHA will pay for the Ice – however would be an additional cost of $65.00/per Goalie attending. – Motioned by Matt Cassidy – 2nd by Norm Ternes – All in Favor

Recommendation that ALL Coaches / Assistants if on ice Wear Helmets – will further discuss this at the Coaches Meeting held at the beginning of the season.
Bantam “B” Team will be donating $200.00 back to SMHA from their 2007/08 season.
Festival of Lights would like to set up their Pictures at the Silent Auction table during our annual Rebels Game – of which they would split 50/50 of the Auction back to our association.
