Claim 2

Get prepared to study.

1) Have your Mathematics Claims and Assessment Targets hand-out open to the last page entitled “Claims 2, 3, and 4: Grades 3-8 Assessment Targets”

2) Find your Item Specifications tab in your CCLM binder

Turn to p. 19 Grades 3-5 (Footer will read: Smarter Balanced Mathematics Item Specifications Grades 3-5) OR Grades 6-8 pp. 21 (Footer will read: Smarter Balanced Mathematics Item Specifications Grades 6-8).

Note: The readings are almost identical so it won’t matter which one you read.

What are you reading?

  • The Claim 2 portion of your “Claims 2, 3, and 4: Grades 3-8 Assessment Targets” hand-out.
  • Item Specifications: Grades 3-5 read p. 19 and take note of the Targets on p. 20-21 & Math Practice Standards on p. 21-22.

OR
