ToonDoo

ToonDoo is a fast, easy, free way to create cartoons that can be personalized for any content. You can use these as part of your instruction, or you can have students create their own to showcase their learning.

Steps to Creating Your Own ToonDoo:

  • Go to
  • Click “Sign Up for Free” – red box in the top right hand corner of the page
  • Click “Sign Up for ToonDoo” and follow prompts
  • Once you’re on the main page, click on the “Toons” tab and then “Create Toon”
  • Select your layout
  • Drag and drop your characters, backgrounds, speech bubbles, clipart, etc. from the top toolbar
  • If you would like to copy the scene created in one box to another, click on the rectangle on the top right of the box
  • If you want to personalize your characters, click the “TraitR” icon on the bottom right of your screen
  • To save your work, click on “ToonDoo Start Here” on the top right of your page

Quizlet

Quizlet can be used as an assessment tool or as a review. You can use it in class, or students can access it independently. There are flashcards for content vocabulary, and there is an audio feature that can speak the words. It can also be translated into different languages.

Steps:

  • Go to (use Chrome)
  • Click “Sign Up” – top right corner of the page
  • Follow prompts
  • Click “Create a Set” on the top of the page
  • Name your vocabulary set, and then type in the vocabulary words and definitions
  • Once your set has been created, you will be able to engage in different activities using this information

Creating Classes in Quizlet:

Teacher:

  • Click “Join or Create a Class” at the left side of the page
  • Type in the name of your class (ex: Period 1: Intro to Math Concepts)
  • Assign the vocabulary set you have created to a specific class

Student:

  • Have students “Sign Up with Email”
  • Students may use personal emails or emails from Office 365 (which can be found in IC)
  • Click “Join or Create a Class” at the left side of the page
  • Have them search for your class

Random Name Generator

Random Name Generator is a quick and easy way to randomly call on students. It can be bookmarked for your convenience, and the link can be embedded into your PowerPoints.

Steps:

  • Go to
  • You can either type in your students’ names or copy and paste them in
  • Make sure each student’s name is on a new line
  • Click the save icon on the bottom of the page
  • Bookmark the page for future use
