Steps for Creating Your Wordlist to a Snapshot Wordle:

  1. Create a list of your words in Microsoft Word.
  2. If you want certain phrases or words to stay together, you can either use a hyphen or not use a space. EX. Mike-Trout or MikeTrout
  3. Do not use periods or commas
  4. SAVE your list
  5. Print your list. Add your name, date, and period number at the top right hand corner.Write the number of words you have typed on your list. You can find your word count on the bottom left-hand corner of thescreen. You will staple this to your maps.
  6. Go back to your list and duplicate any words you want to appear larger than other words. The more times you duplicate the word, the larger it gets. The words that are more important to you should be bigger. your name should be the LARGEST on your Wordle.
  7. click SAVE again
  8. Open Internet Explorer. This is the only search engine that will work!
  9. Go toWordle.net/create. Once open, minimize the window.
  10. Copy your list in word.
  11. Highlight list, right click, copy.
  12. Paste your list in the Wordle window. Click “Go.”
  13. Right click paste
  14. Play with format, layout fonts, etc. Change your maximum number of words to 300. Have fun here!
  15. Color MUST BE SET TO WB (white words on black background).Do this last after playing with format.
  16. Print two copies

EXPLANATION

Explanation: This is an essential part of the project. Why? Hard as it may be for you to believe, partsof your life today will not be important to you five or ten years from now. Without andexplanation, you are likely to look at your Wordle-Snapshot and wonder why you included certain words and phrases. The explanation provides more information about these. The explanation should give me (& the future you) information and add a depth of personality that I wouldn’t get from the Snapshot alone.

  1. Using your maps (tree and bubble) and the color code/key you already created, begin locating and coloring in these words.
  2. Markers & highlighters work best-hint, hint.
  3. Your explanation must fit on one page since it will be glued to the back of the Wordle-Snapshot before laminating.A minimum of 20 explanations are required.
