Step By Step Guide for Rebranding a software

Basically There are 3 Steps In the process of Rebranding any Software.

1)  Create your own Background and Splash Screen File

2)  Attach This File with Software Using ”Package Creation Program” along with entering other details like Mobile No. and Email ID.

3)  Create your own setup File for distribution.

Here These Steps are defined in detail

Basic Preparation

In your Browser Open http://www.solversolutions.in/scripts

Here it will Open an FTP location

Here you need to download 3 Files

1)  Package Creation Program.exe

2)  Step By Step Guide for Rebranding a software.doc

3)  Inno setup.exe

Now Double Click on Sample images Folder at the Bottom

Here you’ll find various jpg files listed.

Whichever software you want to rebrand, download the corresponding jpg image file from here

In this Tutorial we’ll learn about rebranding Speed Plus Software as “Business Plus” Software

Step 1

Now Edit These Images Using paint or Photoshop

Step 2

When you download and install a software from www.solversolutions.in. a folder is created in D:\ drive of your PC.

e..g. D:\Speed Plus 7.0

Create a New folder in your “D:\” Drive. Name it as “Dumps”

Copy D:\Speed Plus 7.0 To D:\Dumps folder

In D:\Dumps, Rename “Speed Plus 7.0” Folder as “Business Plus 7.0”

Now Copy Package Creation Program.exe File in :”D:\Dumps\Business Plus 7.0”

Run “Package Creation Program.exe” File

Looks like following

1:

Input your product details e.g. Product Name, Company Name, Contact No., Email & other Details

These Details helps your customer to locate you for software activation.

2:

Select Main Screen Background Picture for your Software.

Main Screen File Should be jpg file with minimum 1024 x 700 resolution.

Select Splash Screen of your Software

Splash Screen’s resolution depends from software to software

It is recommended that you use same dimensions (Height x width) Images for Splash, Background and Logo as given in sample images folder at http://www.solversolutions.in/images/sampleimages

Exact Splash Screen Picture Sizes (Recommended Resolution)

Miracle, Red Apple, Bell, 5Star, = 700 x 584

Speed Plus = 650 x 413

Cruise = 650 x 475

Emerald = 700 x 584

Elab = 448 x 336

Focus = 500 x 316

iGenius = 347 x 177

Penny = 600 x 381

Vision = 500 x 317

Select Logo Image File in case of Penny, Red Apple & iGenius Softwares

Penny Logo Image Size = 124 x 77

Red Apple Logo Size = 108 x 91

iGenius Main Screen Logo Image = 343 x 177

5:

Click on Save

Your Package is and fully privately branded on your company name.

If you run this software from here you’ll see your name on software with logo and other details.

Now you can see your software that previously looked like this

Has been changed to appear as

Note:

Works only with Latest Versions of all softwares

Required Package.mdb file (Available in all latest softwares)

Step 3

Now Your Dump is ready. Software is working as your company software on your PC.

Third and last step is to create Setup file of your software

a)  Install Inno Setup on your PC (Remember you download 10 mins back)

b)  In your Software Folder “D:\Dumps\Business Plus 7.0”. Open

SpeedPlus7.iss File

(ISS Files are inno Setup Script files used to create any software’s Setup)

In every software folder, you’ll find this iss file. Like in Penny Software, there’s Penny126.iss File, In Miracle you’ll find as Miracle6.iss file etc.

Edit this file as

1)  Change AppID : change any number in AppID. \

2)  Replace Company Name From Solver Solutions to “Your Company Name”

3)  Replace Website Name

4)  Replace Product name (e.g. Speed Plus > Business Plus)

Etc.

When you have done Editing. Click on Build-à Compile menu

It will take some time to process. If any error comes during this process, then you can delete that row or check for the file name.

At the completion of Processing, you’ll find your software setup at “D:\Setups” Folder
