IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST ONLY COMPLETE THE APPLICATION ONCE. TO VERIFY WHETHER THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED, PLEASE CHECK THE DEMOGRAPHICS PAGE OF YOUR PLUS PORTALS ACCOUNT. SUCCESSFUL SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION IS DENOTED BY AN MVCC ID# ON THE DEMOGRAPHICS PAGE.

In order to ensure that students receive college credit for any dual-credit class taken, the following steps must be completed.

Step 1.Complete the MVCC Admissions Online Application:

*Please write down your MVCC ID number for your record.

Step 2.Once you have completed the online application, create an e-connect account:

Click on the link “I’m New to eConnect” and then click on “Set Up My eConnect Account” to get started.

Step 3.Once you have received your MVCC ID # and created an eConnect account you will be required to watch a video and take a pre-assessment quiz. Log off your eConnect account. Please see link below.

Click on the “pre-assessment video” link that appears under “Prepare to register.” Click on “Mountain View College” and then click “play” to watch the video.

Once you’re done watching the video, click on the link on the bottom of the video that says “continue to assessment”. You will be required to log in with your ID number and password you created earlier.

Before taking the quiz there is a check box that you will be required to check to verify that you have seen the video. Please check the box and then continue by taking the quiz.

Step 4.The student will need to take the TSI assessment.

On the day you decide to test, go to the dual credit office at Mountain View, provide your MVCC ID#, picture ID and request a testing referral. The testing referral is necessary in order to be allowed into the testing room. The dual credit office’s hours of operation can be found at

Please note that testing is first come, first served. It is recommended that students arrive at least one hour prior to the testing time to ensure availability.

Please test early in the summer so students have the opportunity to retest if needed. A student may take the tests as often as he or she likes, but must have the testing complete by July 31, 2017.

Step 5. Upon completion of the test, deliver the scores to the dual credit office at Mountain View. In addition, provide a copy of the scores as well as the completed forms listed below to Ms. Perales by the deadline.
