Course Administration:

This is a 13 week course, consisting of 9 lessons (some lesson may take multiple weeks) and 1 week for review. You are expected to check the course website regularly. Assignment questions will be posted on the website and solutions to these assignments will be posted immediately after the due date. Be sure to check the “Announcements” tabfor all information.

There is also a “Discussion” tab located on the left hand side of the course website which provides each student with the opportunity to discuss any difficulties he or she may be having in the course with fellow classmates. If you encounter a problem with the material, please first try to use this method. I will be monitoring the Discussion board and will post responses as necessary. Also I encourage other students to feel free to answer any questions posted on the Discussion board. A good test of your knowledge in statistics is your ability to teach it to others.

How to succeed in this course?

You are provided with a weekly course schedule, each student should do his or her best to follow this schedule. Also, with each lesson, I will also be posting additional exercise questions, which are not to be handed in. These questions should be used to judge whether or not you have a sufficient grasp of the material. You should try the recommended practice exercises right after doing the assigned readings. Also, as the amount of material in this course is fairly large, the assignments will be more manageable if they are started as soon as possible. Lastly, doing the lesson plans, practice exercises and assignment problems is the minimum amount of work you should be doing in the course.

REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO PASS THE FINAL EXAM TO PASS THE COURSE!

Student evaluation of teaching is held during the last two weeks of classes.

I reserve the right to make minor changes to this course outline at anytime.

I am not responsible for lost and/or damaged assignments.

To ensure safe delivery you may mail registered.
