The issues of the clients concern in this study is the operations criteria, at the Jolie Ville Resort & Golf, Sharm El Sheikh.

To measure its level of delivery to the market, identify its weakness and strength and offer conclusions based on International Standards of 5 star Resort operations in Egypt and similar locations around the world.

In summary, the research objectives are to diagnose and examine the Operation issues and conclude objective propositions.

Conclusions are drawn and Recommendations (Counsels) are offered as part of this presentation.

THE ASSESSING TEAM

Mr. Heinz B Reichstein

Twenty plus years senior management experience on unit and corporate / multi-unit level. Proven track record of success in opening / re-opening, renovations, refurbishment and operating four and five star properties in Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Middle East.Bachelor of Commerce, Hotel Management, Buxton University, UK Graduate, Hotel University, Munich Germany, (general management, accounting, budgeting, financial controls.) George Brown College, Toronto, Canada, courses in Hotel & Restaurant Marketing. College of Applied Arts (Food and Beverage) Munich, Germany.

Mr. Nicola Di Giacomo

Director of Food & Beverage and Culinary Arts. Born in Italy and after High School graduation went to the Villa Serbelloni Hotel School and attended the Lausanne Hotel School. Nicola in 1983 has as well completed the Cornell University in New York as Hotel Management.Traveling around the Globe have gained experiences in Europe, Middle East, Far East and Africa as Executive Chef in best 5* Hotels. Very creative and pragmatic always strives to achieve the best in Quality and Profitability results. Expert in Pre-opening and Set-up Standards, as well hiring and training Staffs according the modern Culinary techniques. Nicola is HACCP certified and he is implementing in all the properties the Standards. Italian creativity, German discipline and his Passion are the blends make him successful.

Mrs. Claire Seneca
French but has been living in Saudi Arabia for many years until she came back to France to follow her studies at La Sorbonne Paris. Claire started her careerin the Navy as Administrator and Analyst, working for important political figures such as Ministers and Generals. While in Kosovo she was in charge of the French Minister office and Administrator's Cabinet. Over the following years; Claire has developed her entrepreneur qualitiesas founding CEO of a Day Spa by winning the Business Creators Awards. Her SPA concepts, ideas and talents attracted attention of the "Relais & Chateaux La Cote Saint-Jacques" management team headed by the famous 3 Michelin Chef Jean-Michel Lorain; there she was hired as Consultant for the creation of his Spa from scratch to a final concept. Consequently, she officially joined and became a part of the Relais & Chateaux team. Bondingwith Hospitality Industry She followed her Internationalcareer and worked for Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Constance Hotels and many other reputable entities, hence, developed her knowledge in countries such as Egypt, UAE, and Indian Ocean while mixingthe experience of numerous travels in America, Asia, Africa and Europe.
Dr. Sam Saker
Dr. Saker's field related education, complements his Thirty three years of responsible and progressive experience in the Hospitality Industry including 20 years in the United States of America, fourteen years of which as a General Manager with Holiday Corporation, Forte Hotels International and most recent with Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites. In 1998, as the president and partner, Dr. Saker established (and responsible for) the continued development and growth of CHA International Consultants of Hospitality Administrators? Company, through his alert base of Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation while serving the Hotel and Hospitality Industry Worldwide.
Being President, and Partner of CHA-International, Dr. Saker has expanded to from Egypt's Offices to the Dubai Media City office, UAE in 2002. In 2004 the USA, California office was launched, Then the Stuttgart Germany and Maldives offices in March 2006. The Doha, Qatar office was announced in December 2006. in 2007 the Berlin office was launched, followed by Shanghai, China, Seattle Washington, Cancun, Mexico, Ontario Canada and Las Vegas Nevada. The annual Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Travel Awards event is just another prove of Dr. Saker's commitment to Hospitality Industry and passion for its cause. Organized by Dr. Saker the Oscar like event is held every May at Al; Busman Rotana in Dubai alongside with the Arab Travel Market trade show (ATM)
As a Certified Hotel Administrator by Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association, Dr. Saker is an individual who is notorious ?to make a true difference?. Dr. Saker received his B.Sc. in Administration / Accounting from Egypt, and achieved his MBA degree courses, focusing on International Marketing, from U.S.I.U. "United States International University", in San Diego. In addition, over the years, he received an extensive amount of industry related educational courses and programs as well as Certifications from various industry and management institutes, including Cornell University, Holiday Inn University, Dale Carnegie, UCLA, AH&MA-EI, and California Restaurant Association. In June of 2002 he attained, with honour, his Ph.D in Hotel Management from Parkwood University (division of USIU).

Eng. Alaa Alfred

Technical Consultant, About 25 years working in engineering field most of it in big international chain 5* Hotels as a director of engineering, Expert in managing engineering department, Technical (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Fire, Health & Safety Occupational training and dealing with various kind of Projects, Pre-opening and Set-up Standards.

A lot of technical inspection visits in high advanced 5* Hotels in Czech Republic, Switzerland and Dubai.

Azza Serry

Over 25 years of Hospitality industry experience specialized in the function of revenue management, sales and marketing. Azza is a Hilton veteran having held executive area responsibilities of Business Development for Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Africa. In these territories, Hilton Worldwide manages 25 hotels and Worldwide Resorts.

Azza’s leadership role was to achieve the goals of Hilton’s mission statement by ensuring that key stakeholders get back the right returns on their investment. The mission also aimed to ensure that company achieves profitability and that she maintains an efficient, professional working environment by continuously developing the Hilton team. Training and team’s development were always Azza’s focus area in achieving outstanding results.

Azza is now the President and Chief Operating Officer of the newly formed Hospitality Management Company, Xperience Hospitality Management which is currently operating two resorts in Sharm and preparing for the opening of a new one by summer 2011.

Azza is an Egyptian national with a proven track record in successfully achieving regional company budgets almost every year. She says passionately, “I gain great satisfaction, when I feel I contribute to my country’s economy as well as helping people develop their professional and personal skills”.

Azza enjoys travelling because it gives her an opportunity to learn more about people and a variety of cultures, as well as satisfying another of her passions – cuisine, and exciting new restaurant concepts.

In the procedure of analyzing and interpreting findings and reaching conclusions, we considered all Industry Standards, specifications and operating systems both internationally and in Egypt.

Why Operations Diagnoses?

A diagnosis testing, being the research and study technique, is one of the best methods for assessing Hotel Operations from the International Standards point of view and perception to elicit information that is largely unavailable through simple surveys.

It’s greatest strength, is in its facility to allow free analysis and study for the problems and issue of Operations Quality.

Diagnoses Testing is an invaluable tool and method for many reasons and purposes. It brings forth operations criteria perception and / conclusions that go beyond what has been believed to be factual..
