Jeff Holy

Elected Experience: Jeff has served as a Precinct Committee Officer and one term in the Washington State House of Representatives.

Other Professional Experience: U.S. Army Veteran, Retired Spokane Police Officer, Detective and Former Police Guild Director. Jeff is currently an attorney in private practice.

Education: B.S. Psychology Washington State University, Washington State Police Academy, J.D. Gonzaga Law School.

Community Service: Jeff coached youth baseball, served on numerous boards, provides pro-bono legal service, and is a Board Member of Law Enforcement and Fire Fighter Retirement Board (LEOFF II).

Statement: Jeff Holy is a community leader who has demonstrated commitment to Spokane County and has served us well as our State Representative. Jeff will continue to fight for Eastern Washington! He’s worked to rein in wasteful spending and balance the budget without raising taxes. Jeff knows raising taxes on businesses will hurt our economic recovery.

The 22 years Jeff spent protecting our streets as a Spokane Police Officer and Detective taught him the importance of public safety and being tough on crime. Jeff is committed to funding the fundamentals of education and opposing unfunded mandates that harm our schools

Ziggy Siegfried

(Prefers Democratic Party)

Elected Experience: No elected experience.

Other Professional Experience: 12 years as full-time maintenance worker at WSU Spokane. Half-time landscaper worker. 25 year’s union member and leader.

Education: Graduate Central Valley High School, Spokane Valley WA; Other Professional and Technical Trainings

Community Service: Backbone campaign, Sierra Club, Peace and Justice Action League, Washington Community Action Network, AFSCME, SEIU, UFCW, $15 now, Occupy Spokane, Co-Founder of Spokane Rising Tide, and others.

Statement: Ziggy Siegfried has been very involved in our local community and believes it is time we have a regular citizen represent our district. Ziggy’s experience as a full time maintenance worker at WSU Spokane and half time landscaper has taught him the value of hard work. He will bring the working family voice to Olympia and will fight for family wage jobs, quality-public education and not corporate interests. Ziggy takes seriously the role of the citizen legislature and will work tirelessly to represent the citizens of his district. Ziggy will listen to needs and concerns of his district.
