Te Kura provides for secondary students to attend a one and a half day Comprehensive First Aid Course. The Red Cross has training rooms throughout the country, and offer courses many times a month. Because of this we do not list each individual course.

Unit Standards:

Level 1: 6402 – Provide resuscitation (1 credit)

Level 2:6401 – Provide First Aid (1 credit)

Level 3:6400 – Manage first aid in emergency situations (2 credits)

Interested in science and love the outdoors? Get two experience-filled days of hands-on activity. Process grapes in our winery, analyse the juice in our state-of-the-art laboratory and begin the process of making wine. Year 12-14 students only

About:Students will learn health and safety regulations and safe practices around food and practice food safety by preparation of a range of basic sandwiches. This programme incorporates the Achievement Certificate in Food Safety Introductory Level 2.

This on board experience will take part in a simulated aircraft environment using real on-board equipment.
