Summary:Has worked for 25 years as a freelance English-Russian and Russian-English interpreter (consecutive and simultaneous)and translator, mainly in the fields of international business and finance, environment and climate change, education and professional training, telecommunications and information technologies, electrical and mechanical engineering, oil and gas production and marketing,maritime law,and nuclear technologies. As a freelance interpreter and/or translator has worked for the Council of Europe, the European Parliament, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping,OECD, USAID, TACIS, the US Department of Energy, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (USA), Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA), Los Alamos National Laboratory (USA),the Central Bank of Russia,the British Council, US and UK Consulates General in St. Petersburg, and a large number of other Russian and international companies and organizations.
In 2004-2012, interpreted during talks and negotiations with the participation of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Tarja Halonen, President of Finland, German Gref, former Minister of Trade and Economic Development of the RF, Carlos Gutierrez, US Secretary of Commerce, Jean Lemierre, former President of the EBRD, Rupert Murdoch, head of Newscorp, and a number of other high-ranking government officials and public figures.
As a personal interpreter, accompanied HRH the Prince of Walesduring his visit to Russia.
Worked as a simultaneous interpreter at the events of the G8 Summit in Russia.
Accredited with the European Commission and the European Parliament.
In 2007-2013 provided simultaneous interpretation at all the plenary sessions of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forumsattended by numerous heads of state and government.
In 2009-2013 worked as a simultaneous interpreter at all the sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Translation projects included, inter alia, the full package of technical documentation for the Russian Fissile Materials Storage Facility and numerous OECD reports dealing with environmental issues, housing, and utility services.
For the last two years, the average monthly volume of English-Russian and Russian-English translation/editing has been about 25,000 words (100 pages), with an average interpreting workload of about 12-15 working days per month.
At the same time, has held a number of full- and part-time positions, for the most part in the field of English language and translation teaching (see below).
