Things to consider:
- Each project is unique and the rubric will be adjusted to match the project. If a project does not involve sound by definition, the sound portion of the rubric will not be used and those points will be reassigned to the other factors.
- Due date is important. Each day a project is late there will be a deduction of 10 points.
- TV Projects have an expiration date. Turning in a project after the expiration is not acceptable.
- The most important quality for a TV project is that it is usable.
- All projects should follow content standards for our TV-19. This includes projects that are not intended to be aired publicly.
Process Paper
If you feel as though you do not deserve the grade that your group is getting or if you fail to turn in a project, you can write a process paper in order to improve the grade.
If you do not turn in a project, the paper will only bring your grade to a 70.
The paper needs to be two pages and typed in 12-point font and double spaced.
It should include an:
- An overview of the project. This should explain to me what the project was and how you came to be working on that subject.
- What plan had been put in place to carry out the assignment. It helps to include evidence such as a shooting schedule, script, or emails with a person outside of class but involved with the project.
- Explain what went wrong. This is not about assigning blame but isolating what mistakes were made.
- Explain how those mistakes should have been corrected at the time.
- Explain how you will implement this knowledge in the future.
You will have 1 week after receiving your grade to turn in your process paper.
