Introduction

Numbers chapter 19 is about the "Ashes of the Red Heifer"[1], a great mystery that baffled even the wisest man that ever lived, Shlomo (Solomon). I have written many articles on the Standalone Aleph Tav[2] which is based on the idea that the Aleph Tav is a symbol of the Messiah. For this verse it would be the Aleph Tav is the clean man that gathers up the ashes of the Red Heifer. In the Hebrew the Aleph Tav is highliged in red אֵת

Numbers 19:9 KJV and HSB

And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation[3]: it is a purification for sin[4].

Notes on Water of Seperation

WordStudy says this[5]…

It also implies an antidote to sin, including purification from ceremonial impurity (Num_19:9, Num_19:17); the sacrificial offering for sin (Exo_29:14; Lev_4:3);

13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of YHVH; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.

Num 31:23-24

23 Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water. 24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.

Lev 15:20-21

20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. 21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

Heb 9:13-14

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
