  1. How do I register?

In order to register you will need to go to the following link:

You then need to click ‘My Account’, once the page has loaded, scroll down and click ‘Create an account’

Once this has been selected the following page will load.

You will then need to complete First name, surname, email address create a password and confirm and click create account. Please note that you must not close down the window that you have registered in, if you do your authorisation code will not work.

If you in error close the window down go to page 5 of the FAQ’s.

Once this this has been completed a verification e-mail will be sent to the registered e-mail address. (Email address entered when registering)

Whilst waiting for your verification email you will see this.

If you have not received the email please check your Junk folder. The e-mail will be titled ‘Staffordshire Cares Marketplace account activation required’ and will be from the sender ‘’

Once you have received the e-mail, (an example of the email can be seen below).

Enter the ‘activation code’ into the ‘activation code’ field and select ‘activate account’.

Once you have done this you will see a ‘sign in’ screen which states ‘Account activated’ at the top.

Log in using the email address and password you have just created.

Finally once this has been done you will be logged in and will see this page.

Closed Window whilst waiting for verification email

If you have not kept the Staffordshire Marketplace window open whilst waiting for your verification email. Please refer to the email you were sent. There is a hyperlink in ‘point 2’, select ‘sign in’ this takes you to the sign in page.

Log in using the Email address you are trying to register with and the password you created initially and input the activation code and select ‘activate account’. (This window will appear)

Once you have entered the ‘activation code’ and you are greeted with a screen which states ‘activation code invalid’.

Select ‘send me a new activation code’. (Keep the window open, do not close)

If it does not work the window will state immediately ‘unable to send activation code’. Click ‘Back’ on your browser until you are greeted again with ‘Activate account,  we have sent you an email’ page.

Now click ‘resend it to your e-mail address’ you will receive a new verification code via e-mail. Please note you must just keep the browser page open and wait for the new activation code. Once you have entered the ‘activation code into the open window and clicked ‘Activate account’ you will see ‘Account activated’ at the top.

Log in to your account using the email address and password you have just created.

  1. How to Login?

In order to log in to your account go to and select ‘Local services’.

Select ‘my account’ found on the right hand side of the page where you will be directed to the sign in page. Input your username (which is your email address) and the password you have created.

  1. How do I reset my password/ my account is locked?

If you have forgotten your password then follow the steps in part 2 until you reach the sign in page step. Select the ‘forgotten your password’ option.This will take them to the rest password page.

Input the email address you registered with and select ‘Reset password’

You will then be greeted with this page.

Please not this window open MUST be left open whilst you wait for the ‘reset code’.

You will then receive an email titled ‘Staffordshire Reset Password - Please Read!’

An example of the email can be seen below.

Input the ‘reset code’ into blank field and select ‘submit your reset code’.

If you have closed the window whilst waiting for your ‘reset code’ the code will not work. You are now required to go back to the ‘sign in’ page and follow the steps again, this time selecting ‘forgotten your password’. You will be sent a new code but you will again need to keep the window open whilst you wait for the reset code.

Once the rest code has been inputted correctly you will get the option to reset your password.

Input your new password in both fields and select reset your password.

Once this has been completed you will then be prompted to sign in again using your email address you registered with and your newly created password.

If you are logged in and wish to change your password you can at any point.

To change your password and select ‘My Account’ (once logged in) on the right hand side of the page and select ‘update account’.

You will then see the page below, called ‘My account’.

Select ‘change password’.

You will then see the ‘Change password’ screen. If you input your new password into both fields and select ‘Change password’

Once you have set your new password you will be taken back to the my account page and will see a message at the top of the page which shows:

4. My username or email address is not being recognised?

The service has now moved over to our new software and system users are required to re-register or verify their emails to be set up as users. This is a quick process and will only take a couple of minutes.

To get registered you need to visit the Create an account( page of the Marketplace. Simply input your name, Surname and email address and select create a new password.

The system now requires you verify your e-mail address follow the steps in point 3 (above), and inputting the verification code that has been be sent to your email address. Please note do not close the window whilst you wait for your verification email as this will invalidate the verification code.

Once you input the code it will ask you to enter your email and password again and you will then be logged in.

Now from the ‘provider updates’ tab you should be able to amend and update your page as long as the email you registered with was the original administrator on the provider page.

If this does not work please ensure that the email you are attempting to log in with is the one registered as the administrator for the service pages you set up.

If you continue to have any issues please send an email to ensuring to include your full name, your username (email address) and you provider or services name and a contact number and an advisor will look into the issue and contact you to discuss.

  1. How to set up a new service or new product?

Once you are logged into your account. On the left hand side of the screen select ‘Provider updates’. This will then bring up the Provider updates page. Then select ‘Create a new service’.

Once this has been selected it will bring up the ‘Create a new record’ form.

Complete the form with as much information as possible please note that this information will be used on your service page. You can make this as detailed as you like. You can always edit the service at a later date should any alterations or changes be required.

Once the above has been completed read all of the information in ‘Provider Declaration’ very carefully before ticking the declaration box at the bottom.

Finally once you have clicked select you will be taken back to the ‘Your Account’ page.

The service status will show as Queued whilst it waits for the team to check and authorise the page. The team aim to check and authorise any changes or updates within 5 working days.

Once the page has then been authorised by the team it will then show as ‘Live’ like below.

Once the page shows as ‘Live’ it will be visible to the public on the Staffordshire Marketplace website.

6. Amending existing products or services?

In order to edit existing services firstly log in to your account.

Once logged in select Provider updates and then it will show any current services.

Select ‘actions’ on the service you wish to make changes to. Then select ‘update record’.

This will bring up the form that has all of your service pages details on. Make any changes that you wish to make and at the bottom of the page select ‘Save record’.

You will then be taken back to the Overview page and a message will state:

Your service in ‘Provider updates’ will show service Status as whilst it waits for the team to check and authorise the page. The team aim to check and authorise any changes or updates within 5 working days. Whilst the changes to the page are waiting to be authorised your previous page will still be live on the Staffordshire Marketplace website.

Once the Page has been moderated by the team your status will change to ‘live’ and your changes should now be showing on your Services page on the website.

7.How do I upload a photo?

In order to upload a photo firstly follow information inpoint 5, you will need to select ‘set up a new service’ or ‘new product’ to allow the system to launch the form to allow you to edit your service page.

Once you have loaded the formyou will see this section approximately 2 thirds down the form. Select ‘upload logo’ or ‘upload image’ depending on what you would like to upload.

Once selected you will see:

Select ‘browse’, locate the image the image you would like to upload from your files and then select open.

Once you have selected your image the blank field next to ‘Browse’ will now be filled.

Then select ‘upload’ and load your image on to the site.

The Uploaded image will then show as a preview on the form you are using like this:

The ‘Logo’ image will appear at the top of your service page and the additional images will appear on the right hand side of your ‘servicespage’ in the ‘gallery’.

We are not able to place images anywhere else on the service pages on the website.

Once you have uploaded all the images you would like to upload and made any other changes that you wish to make scroll to the bottom of the page and after reading all the statements tick to confirm that they are correct and then select ‘Save Record’.

8. Can I sell products on your site?

No, unfortunately the new Staffordshire Marketplace is not able to support purchases through the website. However you are able to provide links to your own service/ providers own web pages where you may be able to facilitate purchases for customers.
