1)What motivates you to work for peace and justice? What issue(s) are you particularly passionate about? What upsets you in the world today?

3)How does the SPC Statement of Purpose fit with your values? How does our Statement of Purpose speak to you?

4)Give an example of a campaign or event you organized. How did you go about it? What worked well? What would you change next time?

5)What are some key pieces of your vision of how social change happens? What sources of information do you find most useful?

6)What is your understanding of the interrelationship between various forms of oppression and the ways that power and privilege play out (i.e. gender, race, sexual orientation, class, language, etc.)?

7)Working at SPC requires working with people – meeting new people, recruiting members, collaborating with other staff, with steering committee, with current members, etc. Please share examples of other work you have done to illustrate how you would be a good fit for this job.

8)The Peace Council thrives as a grassroots peace and social justice organization thanks to the dedication and time contribution of many unpaid activists and supporters. What ideas do you have on how to engage new people and motivate them to be active with the Peace Council’s work?
