Ø  Staff must make a commitment to work for the entire program including preplanning; attendance is critical.

Ø  Staff will work on preplanning, May 29th from 8:00-3:30, and a schedule to be determined prior to January 1.

Ø  Site Coordinators will be paid one additional hour per day during the program.

Ø  In addition you will be required to attend monthly planning meetings.

Site Coordinator Responsibilities:

·  Be in attendance each day and arrive on time. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Special Education Supervisor in the scheduling and organization of the ESY site.

·  Communicate program progress to Special Education Supervisor.

·  Provide leadership and supervision at the ESY site, communicate regularly with parents, students and teachers.

·  Respond to bus scheduling concerns and details.

·  Function as the site liaison for building level questions related to the work site.

·  Coordinate trainers at the work site.

·  Develop written communication for families related to welcoming students, detailed program information, arrival and dismissal practices, etc. Communication will be sent home with students on the first day to provide information about the ESY site.

·  Provide instructional and behavioral interventions for students as needed.

·  Secure substitute teachers and paraprofessional as needed. Act as substitute when needed.

·  Weekly review and compilation of student data and probe sheets. Ensure that teachers input program data.

·  Daily monitoring of instruction through informal walk-through checklists, providing regular feedback to teachers.

·  Maintain ESY inventory, ensuring that all materials are returned to the local school or central office at the conclusion of the program.

·  Maintain student and teacher attendance documents and emergency contact information.

·  Maintain payroll information.

·  Maintain knowledge of ESY emergency plans and contact log.

·  Facilitate final teacher checkout process.
