1. Place and Date of Meetings.

The Lodge shall meet at the …………….. on the ……………..

2 Election of Officers and Installation.

The Master and the Treasurer shall be elected in accordance with Rule 97(i) and 108(i) respectively in the Book of Constitutions and the Tyler by a show of hands at the regular meeting in ……….. The Master Elect shall be installed at the regular meeting in …………………. and shall appoint and invest his Officers.

  1. Candidates

The Election for Advancement, joining or re-joining shall be by ballot, two black balls shall exclude.

  1. Fees and Subscriptions

The amount of the Annual subscription, payable in advance on the first day of ……... The fee for Advancement, joining or re-joining shall be such sums as determined by resolution in open Lodge after due notice on the summons. The amount shall include all fees and dues payable to Grand Lodge, Provincial Grand Lodge and any other payments or financial liability incurred by the Lodge and/or candidates for membership.

5. Treasurer.

The Treasurer shall receive all fees, dues, etc, and deposit them in the name of the Lodge, in a Bank approved by the Lodge.

He shall pay all accounts and shall at the regular meeting in …….., present an examined balance sheet of the Lodge Accounts made up to …………..

6. Arrears of Subscriptions.

A member more than 6 months in arrears shall not hold office in the Lodge. If he be one year in arrears, he shall be liable to exclusion.

7. Secretary.

The Secretary shall keep minutes of proceedings of the Lodge and separately of any Lodge Committee

He shall issue Lodge summonses for all Lodge meetings, at least 7 days in advance to every member of the Lodge.

His service may be deemed equivalent of subscriptions if he so desires.

8. Lodge Committee and Examiners of Accounts.

The Lodge Committee shall consist of the Master, Wardens, Overseers, Treasurer, Secretary, subscribing Past Masters, and two Brethren elected at the regular meeting in …………….

The examiners of accounts shall be elected annually at the same meeting.

9. Resignations

A Brother wishing to resign from the Lodge shall give notice either in open Lodge, or by letter to the Secretary and on payment of all dues, shall be entitled to a certificate of clearance.

10. Honorary Members.

A Brother who has given distinguished service to the Order in general, or to the Lodge in particular, may be elected an honorary member of the Lodge.

11. Lodge effects

The jewels, and furniture of the Lodge are the property of the Master and Wardens for the time being, in trust for the members.

The Warrant of Constitution is the property of the Grand Master and the Master shall be responsible for its safe custody and shall produce it at every meeting of the Lodge.

12. Alteration to the By-laws

Notice of Motion of any alteration or addition to these By-laws must to be given at one open meeting. They shall appear on the summons for the next meeting, and if approved, the alteration or addition shall be submitted for the approval of the Provincial Grand Master and General Board.

13. Presentation of the By-laws

A copy shall be presented to each new member of the Lodge and to the Master at the Installation.
