Dear Parents:
As we say farewell to winter and welcome signs of spring, we conclude one year and begin planning for another in the Religious Education program of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
Since our program is quite large and extensive planning is necessary, please try to adhere to the registration deadline, which is June 18, 2005. The alternative for late registration is home-schooling. When classes are filled to capacity, we are unable to accommodate students who would like to attend sessions and be part of a group learning experience. This was a reality for several families this past year. You may mail in your registration forms or drop them off at the Parish Center Religious Education offices. Knowing the number of students enrolled is also essential for ordering books and materials as well as recruiting the teachers needed on each grade level.
Ten dollars was added to the tuition fee to cover the cost of the Pflaum weeklies—Vision, Venture, Good News and Promise as well as other supplies. These pamphlets present the Sunday gospel in a challenging, yet realistic, way for each grade level. Teachers find it most helpful and students enjoy enacting the plays and hearing stories of real life gospel men and women.
Your assigned class day is dependent on grade level and/or school attended. As in the past, if conflicts occur we will try to work with you and make the necessary adjustments for this year.
The following is a list of your assigned days/times:
DAY GRADE TIME SCHOOLS
Monday 6 5:45-7:00pm All Schools
7 & 8 7:15-8:30pm All Schools-Preparation for Confirmation
Tuesday 1, 3, 4, 5 4:15-5:15pm Dwight, Jennings, Mill Hill,

Thursday 2 4:15-5:15pm All Schools-Preparation for First Communion
Thank you for your continued support and may we continue to challenge each other to witness the Good News in our Communities, our Society, our Church, our World.
Gratefully,
Sister Monica Leonard, CND
Director of Religious Education
