The Knock Summer Camp will run from 3rd-7th July & is a fun filled week for 7-11 year olds. The camp includes arts & crafts, sports, prayer, dance, music & much more. Each day runs 10am-2pm. After 16 uplifting years as PP of Islandeady/Glenisland Parish, Fr. Pat will retire the weekend of Sat/Sun 15th/16th July. A retirement function is being organised by the Parish Pastoral Council and will take place on THURS Night, July 13th in the Castlecourt Hotel starting at 7:30pm. Music by Tom Devanney. Tickets cost €10 & it is OPEN TO EVERYONE! Tickets on sale after masses in the coming weeks. Parishioners will be kept informed in newsletter each week.Also…

- there will be a ‘Messages of Appreciation’ book left in both churches for parishioners/clubs & school children to write down your thoughts & messages of support/goodwill/gratitude to Fr Pat. - if anyone has any photos of Fr. The Irish Wheelchair Association will be holding their Annual Church Gate Collection in Islandeady/Glenisland next Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th June 2017. Your support would be gratefully appreciated.

A rural transport scheme will be available to the Islandeady community from the beginning of July. Anyone wishing to participate in the service should contact the following number 0949047571 to book a seat. There are two routes: one from Islandeady to Westport on a Friday leaving Islandeady at 9am and returning at 1pm. The second will be on a Wednesday arriving in Islandeady at 11:30am and leaving at 3pm. Members availing of the service will be picked up at their homes and returned to their homes. People availing of the service may use their travel passes. Those not eligible for the travel pass will be charged €5 per person. The Westport service will begin on 7th July 2017 and is available to everyone. The Wednesday service will start on 5th July 2017. Both services will be operated by Michael O Haire.
