I. GATHERING TIME
II. OPENING PRAYER—Erin Edwards
III. PARISHONER INPUT--None
IV. STAFF INPUT – Deacon Terry Beer – Faith Formation Update
Grade school—
Late registrations are handled, though still trickling in. Numbers overall are up a little this year, though pre-school numbers are a little down. \
Increased numbers looking for home study.
Catechists position are all filled, though extra help is always welcome.
Middle School—
Adding a youth group component. And working to add events away from Wednesday night/Faith Formation.
High School—
Could use some adult table leaders. Juniors and seniors are doing this now.
There’s also a small group for special needs on Thursday night.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word—
Currently have 5 catechists. Could use more.
RCIA—
Four adults this year. Sponsors needed.
Other/Adult—
Several other programs underway (bible study, Watchman, Women’s Group)
Some advent materials coming—similar to Lent materials.
Foundation looking to bring in speakers.
Exploring small groups –possibly for next year.
V. EDUCATION – Group discussion on The Joy of the Gospel continued, with Fr. Tom and Mary Jane leading the discussion on Chapter 1.
VI. Information
Fr. Tom--
Parking lot and associated lighting is finished.
Stewardship Sunday is this Sunday.
Private discussion on school happening.
Lori Aaker—Building and Grounds Liaison. Signage throughout the campus is being worked on to be more attractive, informative, and low maintenance. LED lighting for church is still on track.
Doug Dunning—
Fall PPC Retreat –this Saturday, October 28.
Executive Council meeting on November 2 will be handled via email due to the Mass of Remembrance.
Next regular PPC meeting is November 30.
